jfk9auct Store 1933 Chevy All-steel Rod This unique rod uses a 1933 Chev body over a 1930 Chev chassis and drive line. Recently completed, it is a simple, well-designed and executed, non-Ford driver. The Stove Bolt Six was the first generation of this famous engine which was continued for 60 years until 1990. This particular engine starts instantly and is smoke free. The fuel pump, distributor, fuel filter and other components are all rebuilt original. The early 6-volt generator is replaced with a 12-volt generator. All gauges are present except for a fuel gauge The body is straight and original. The three-speed transmission shifts easily and newly refurbished mechanical brakes stop the car straight and quickly. The unique steering column support allows ready access to the cab. Car comes with CoverKing car cover. This car adheres to the principles of the rat rod according to Pat Ganahl, the noted writer: "First are the traditional rods and customs. Those are cars built the way rods were built in the 30s, 40s, and early 50s, with a primary emphasis on low-buck and home-built, using period-correct components ranging from flathead to nailhead engines, wide whitewall tires to skinny blackwall bias-plies, and black primer to hand-rubbed paint."
