Vehicle Detail

1977 Honda Accord hatchback. 4 cylinder 5 speed. I am the second owner of this car, having bought from the original owner approx 6 years ago. Car is silver with a black interior. Car has just over 200k miles. The motor is still in great running shape, with the only signs of it’s mileage a little puff of smoke when starting first thing. The original owner took very good care of her (I have known the original owner since 97’) and I have done much more maintenance to keep it dead solid reliable. Below is a list of the basics the car has, -Air conditioning -Power front disc brakes -AM/FM/CD/AUX Sony 50w head unit with 4 speakers mounted with very hard to find install kit (not hacked in) -Intermittent wipers -Bucket seats -Fold down rear seat -Rear wiper (This may require attention as it works intermittently) -Engine -Original matching # 1600cc EF1 engine -Brand new timing belt and fan belts -Recent tune up (have extra air/oil filters) -Factory Honda rebuilt alternator -Passed smog no problem last year. Only about 1k miles since -Interior -New upholstery on the front and rear seats -Original carpet in nice shape up front with new carpet in the hatch area -Rare optional cargo cover -All door panels in very good shape -Nice dash with only a couple very small cracks -New heater control valve -Tinted windows -Have factory option rear speaker mounts (no speakers and not yet installed) -Exterior -Older silver repaint (near original color). Getting a little dull, but still has decent shine. Body is very straight. No rust except for left fender has some rust on the lower edge and some paint touch up. Not bad, but there. -Has very hard to find NOS bumper corners -Rare front and rear bumper over riders. -NOS front grill -Very hard to find NOS front and rear rubber aprons with new fasteners. -All glass in good shape. -Shaved emblems (kinda fun having people try and guess what it is) -Miscellaneous -New A/C compressor and dryer. Recharged with real R12 -New clutch -New megaphone tip. Nice sound without being loud. -New struts, front and rear. -New brakes, front and rear. All new rubber brake hoses. Rear also has new wheel bearings -Lowered about 1.5” front and back with cut springs (not torched!) -Has very rare factory alloy wheels made more valuable by the original center caps. (only made for one year on a limited edition model) These older Honda’s have a unique 4x120 lug pattern which makes finding correct fitting wheels very difficult. I have a full set including a spare. -Almost new Bridgestone tires. -Needs (not very much) -Door weatherstripping (has some wind noise, but not bad) -Left front fender repair -Maybe an alignment. Car tracks straight and does not pull, but I have never had it checked I also have a few spare parts and a few very rare uninstalled NOS parts like a windshield gasket and strut isolators and a fiberglass air dam that the auction winner will be offered for a very fair price before listed separate. In closing, you get a very clean and reliable (it is a Honda after all) nostalgic Japanese car that needs almost nothing other than a new owner that will take good care of her. Highway mileage is in the mid 30’s, which is great with the cost of gas. There are not very many of these great cars left on the road, and even fewer in the condition this one is in. I doubt you would be disappointed in this car. The fine print: Winning bidder to pay a $250 non refundable deposit via paypal within 48 hrs of auction close with the balance due via certified bank check drawn against either Chase, BofA, or Wells Fargo ONLY, or via paypal with the buyer covering the paypal fees within 7 business days. Once payment has cleared, I will send the title via registered mail. All transportation means are the responsibility of the high bidder and the car needs to be picked up within 14 days of cleared payment. I will assist where I can with the transportation company of the buyers choosing, or simply come pick it up and drive away. I am selling this car in as in condition with no warranty or guarantees either given or implied.
