Specifically the first valve is stuck open so the engine either needs some work done on it or needs to be replaced entirely. Last fall a lot of suspension work was done including: replaced right rear trailing arm bushing, replaced right and left front lower control arms and ball joint assemblies, replaced right front outer tie rod. Also, only one year ago the water pump, timing belt, rear shocks, and front struts were all replaced. Being the old car that it is, there are other items that don't work anymore. AC, cruise control (works about 25% of the time now), traction control system, rear defroster, driver seat recliner, and odometer. The odometer currently reads ~161,000 miles, actual mileage is probably somewhere around 175,000. As you will see in the photos, there is a dent right in the front of the hood from a truck that backed into the car. There is also no grill currently on the car (result of the truck) but there is a new grill with the car. However, the second hood release lever that usually pops out of the grill is broken and will need to be replaced before the grill is put back on in order to still be able to pop the hood.
