Vehicle Detail

Beautiful 1970 PORSCHE 911S Targa. Originally purchased in Germany and imported to the US many years ago. Extremely clean daily driver. Painted to a very high standard in the original GLASURIT color of metallic blue with only minimal flaws. The car shows very well and the color is more striking than GEMINI blue. All 4 FUCHS are original to the car and date stamped 4/70. All the glass is original to the car except for the windshield which is new OEM SEKURIT. The engine is non-matching, however, it has been re-built to very impressive specs. The top end is original to the car including the heads, pistons, and cylinders,  however, the bottom end is a ‘7R’ 911S case. It has been substantially upgraded to Carrera RS specs boasting 210hp at the rear wheels. Essentially, the engine is identical to the 1973 Carrera RS engine, however, the MFI has been replaced with Weber carburetion. There are less than 7,000 miles on the rebuilt motor and it pulls very strong, does not smoke or leak, and starts on the first turn every time. The braking system was recently rebuilt including cylinders, pads and lines and functions flawlessly. The rotors were re-surfaced and the aluminum calipers were sand blasted and re-finished. The transmission is very smooth, although a small amount of care is needed upshifting into 2nd gear as with most 901 transmissions. Needless to say it is a blast to drive and will leave a stock ‘S’ in the dust. The interior is largely original, although it has seen freshening throughout the years.  It shows very well with the usual signs of wear. The body is remarkably straight with a very nice original panel fit. No accidents, no rust, and no notable flaws apart from very minor scratches/scrapes from life on the road. The entire underbody was coated including wheel wells, floors, suspension mounts, and any exposed area. This is a beautiful example of a euro-spec 911S. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It has recently been tuned and serviced including a pair of new BOSCH batteries and new OEM exhaust. A stack of receipts is included with the sale. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
