Up for auction is a 1973 Monte Carlo with full vinyl top. This was the first year they made this body style and the only year with the gas cap behind the license plate and bumper. The car was painted when I bought it and I replaced the seats as well. It has Enkei Gold Lace wheels. The Body is in great shape with no rust and the vinyl top is good with no rips or tears. All the chrome looks good too. The interior is black and tan and I installed a Kenwood AM/FMCassette. I do still have the original AM/8-track as well. The car drove and shifted smooth. These cars handled well for such a large car. So well it was Car of the Year in 1973. Thes cars are also becoming scarce due to them making great short track cars in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I’ve been to many car shows and local Criuse Nights and have usually been the only ’73 there. This is why this car turns a lot of heads. Now for the not so good news. We blew a radiator hose on the interstate and no there is a rod knocking. The engine could use a re-build. It is the original 350 2bbl small block. This car would make a great vehicle to take to shows and or do a full restoration.
