I was in NC last week and I was told about this 1973 mustang convertible. I was given the address & phone # of the owner. I called her and she told me she inherited her dads home and this car a little over a year ago. She said it was his pride & joy. She said he bought it from a friend of his that bought the car new. HE BOUGHT IT in June 0f 2003 , and it had 96101 actual miles on it. It has 5811 on it now.The engine,trans & power steering were rebuilt. He also had it repainted in Nov. 03. He kept a booklet of all service work and bills that go with the car. She said the car had not been driven in the last several months, it sat in the garage. It started right up & ran perfect.She said the house needed some repair work done as soon as possible, AND SHE WAS NOT INTO OLD CARS. She told me what she would ask for it if she sold it. I told her I could not pay that kind of price for it, because I would only turn around and resale it, because that would be the only reason I would be buying it. if that would help her. She ask me what I would pay for it. I told her and she again told me she wanted the money to do the repairs to the house, SO SHE SOLD IT TO ME. I DROVE IT HOME WHICH WAS A 3 HR TRIP & IT RAN & DROVE GREAT. I WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE. It has the 302 CID with selectshift cruise-o-matic. ALL GAUGES,LGTS,RADIO& HEATER WORK. THE clock is not working. IF YOU WANT A CONVERTIBLE TO GET IN & ENJOY THIS IS IT. The top is in great condition ,but needs cleaning. It goes up & down great. The paint is still in good condition, as you can see in the pictures, BUT it is not a show paint job. BID ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE NO DEAD BEATS.
