I am selling my daughter's Scion xD which I had bought new as a college graduation present. The car has been well maintained and driven responsibly, although it has been subjected to a few parking lot scuffs along the way. Daughter just got married and the new household no longer needs the extra vehicle. Back in my hands, I have since had the car completely gone over by the local, reputable Toyota/Scion dealer and have made certain that all mechanical components are in top working order. Four brand new tires, new brakes/rotors, new muffler, fresh alignment, scheduled service, state safety and emissions inspection and more. I even installed new factory carpeted floor mats because the rest of the interior is so nice. The only issue found during mechanical inspection was a slightly bent flange on the rear axle apparently from when my daughter ran over debris on the highway. This made it difficult to establish proper wheel alignment. Opting for all new parts instead of repair of the bent piece and with all work done by the authorized Toyota/Scion dealer, the car is like new again and I will be happy to share all work orders and the prospective buyer is welcome to talk with the dealer or take it for inspection. I am most interested in making sure that I preserve my 100% rating on eBay and that bidders can buy with confidence. She's a beautiful, fun and highly functional car with a couple of superficial blemishes. Apparently the car was scuffed in a parking lot or garage. No dents, just some paint scuffs on the outer edges of the fender wells and the abrasions are not all the way through the paint. If you don't mind a couple of scars, you can get a really great car at a terrific price due to the cosmetic imperfections. Heck, I have a few scars and blemishes of my own and my wife tells me I still clean up nicely. That's certainly true of this xD and you can see that in the pictures (which, by the way, were taken before the vehicle was detailed). Kelley Blue Book puts value at over $9,000 for an example in Good condition (other than the scuffs, this car fits the description for a vehicle in Very Good condition). My Buy It Now price is significantly lower. This would be the perfect choice for a younger driver or for anyone looking for super fuel mileage in a fun package with the utility of a hatchback. With a light foot, this car has delivered 30mpg in traffic and as high as 36mpg average on the open road (an in-dash computer lets you track it). It has a great stereo with sound field options plus mp3 and iPod plug in. What more can I say? If I had the garage space, I'd use this as my own commuter without hesitation.
