Up for Auction is this very nice 1989 Honda Gold Wing GL1500 touring motorcycle. Cosmetic Condition: This motorcycle is in very good cosmetic condition. This is a beautiful motorcycle with a unique side car. The vinyl cover on the sidecar is in excellent condition, only missing the side zipper pieces. The clear vinyl in the back of the sidecar cover is intact and flexible, though it is slightly yellowed from age it still provides a good view. The front windscreen on the side car has a small crack on the left side near the second bolt, but it is still clear and in good condition. The paint job on the bike was exceptionally well done and has stood the test of time. The decals are all still intact, from the pin stripe decorations to the Gold Wing logo, there is not a sign of peeling or aging anywhere on the decals. The chrome trim is also in amazing condition. This 25 year old motorcycle looks great for its age only showing typical signs of use. It has the expected dings and nicks from spending 45,000 miles on the road. The side car shows a bit more road wear than the motorcycle, as is to be expected. Operating Condition: The motorcycle starts up properly, and runs very well. There is no hesitation and the engine is sounds amazing. The transmission cable may be loose. The transmission works properly, but there is some hesitation going through all of the gears. Once in gear, the gears work properly, though. The suspension is good, the radio works fine, except the volume knob shorts every time it's moved. The driver/passenger radio and other electrical functions were not tested because we do not have the headsets for this motorcycle.
