Vehicle Detail

1968 Chevrolet C 10 step side pickup truck. I did this truck for myself to make a nice little hot rod. My neighbor had taken this truck in on a trade and had the truck for a couple of years. When I purchased the truck it was an old chevy green color (I can send pics if you want to see). This truck is extremely straight and has a clear NC title. I took the truck apart and completely redid into the truck you see. The truck has a 327 ci Chevy Vette motor with double hump heads. It is paired to a nice 3 speed manual on the column. When I started redoing the truck I had my mechanic check out the motor and tranny. Both function great so I made no modifications to the setup. Motor is strong and holds around 40lbs of oil pressure. I did change the valve cover gaskets and converted the oil filter to a standard spin on type. I have had every body piece off of the truck. I took the bed completely off and installed a new black walnut bed. To the best of my knowledge all of the sheet metal appears to be original. Frame has been steam cleaned and painted with cab on. All metal was primed with PPG black epoxy primer. We used POR 90 on the backs of the fenders and frame. Grill is original but re painted. Wheels are 6 lug rally's. Wheels were sandblasted and epoxy primered then painted gloss black. Steel bumpers are gloss black. Under good painted with acrylic enamel flat black. Truck is painted with a single stage PPG flat black that has flat clear built in. In prepping the truck we did not find anything other than factory seam sealer and factory bondo spots. Tail gate is original and shows some imperfections. I have tailgate chains and new rubber chain covers but I prefer not to run them to protect paint. Front and back glass remained in for repaint. Interior metal painted gloss black with acrylic enamel. Installed seats from a 67 (highly sought after buddy buckets) that have center console. Seats covered in original hounds tooth fabric with new soft touch vinyl. New lever kit for heat controls. Almost everything added to truck came from LMC. Custom speaker box contains 2 6x9s and 1 10" sub. Amp and controls is tucked neatly under driver's seat. Box is wrapped in matching soft touch vinyl. Truck has added oil pressure, temp, and volt gages by Sunpro. All factory gages and idiot lights work. New gage surround, bulbs, and lenses. LED dome light. Chrome rear view. Original body side mirrors shaved. Side windows and rear glass legal tint. New original style wiper arms. Original front windshield no chips or cracks slightly smoked at bottom. New LED lights all around markers, brakes, turns. New stainless fender bolts, bumper bolts, etc. CD player accepts aux input from I pod. Truck lowered around 3-4". Great stance. SS Chevy steering wheel. Runs and drives great. Sounds awesome inside and out. Great driver hot rod. I will be glad to send more pictures. If you have questions you can e-mail me at kris.little@jrvannoy.com . Truck is for sale locally so item may be removed if truck is sold before auction ends. Selling this truck to start a 70 split bumper Camaro. If you would like to speak on the phone please e-mail me a number you can be reached at.
