NO RESERVE…ORIGINAL is the key word here. A ONE OWNER for 47 years. I purchased about a month ago from the second owner to sell it, he drove it for a year or so and made some minor repairs that I will share below. This truck is complete, solid in every way and completely untouched, unpainted, unaltered, etc. and it runs great. It has been my daily driver. It has a 6 Cylinder 230 ci engine with 100k miles and the 3 speed on the column. Clutch is good and shifts through the gears with no problem and stops straight.. It has little rust considering 49 years, mostly all of it is just surface patina. It has stayed in the South Carolina weather for its entire life. It seems like it was just exposed to some humidity based on the surface patina. 3 of the 4 cab corners are in excellent shape. The floor boards are solid and the undercarriage is in great condition. The Original Spare tire is still under the original pine bed (which still has some of the original black paint). I would not suggest running the spare tire of course, It’s the tire that came with the truck. The truck comes with the ORIGINAL Protect-A-Plate Warranty Book, the ORIGINAL Manual, and the ORIGINAL Paper dealer plate. The original paper / cardboard cover is still over the gas tank and under the dash. Also, all gauges are working as they should. Nothing here is aftermarket or altered. It’s the perfect restoration, daily driver, or rat rod candidate. It’s hard to go to Home Depot without having to answer questions about this beauty and it is getting impossible to find one of these in this condition, with this natural patina. SOLD AS IS. ***See Video link below*** WHAT HAS BEEN DONE Rebuilt Carburetor New Cap, Plugs, Wires Valve Cover Gasket New Heater Core and Fan Motor New Muffler and Tail Pipe WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE Leaks a little oil around the oil pan Back right blinker lights up but does not blinkA couple of springs on the drivers side bench are collapsed, does not affect driving. Let me set some expectations for you about this truck. If you have not driven a 1965 Chevy C10, here is what to expect: Always get the truck up to temp first before you drive down the road. These are referred to as “Cold Weather Chevys” and they like to operate around 175-200 degrees. Prepare to work a little harder in this truck as It has power nothing. It is not geared to be driven much faster than about 65. It will however do 55 all day long and you can take it anywhere. The gear set up in these trucks are not synced up, so you will have to spend some time getting used to where you need to be at what rpm. It’s a fun truck to drive. ***SEE VIDEO BELOW***SEE VIDEO HERECome drive it! I will also be selling it locally. YOU MUST ARRANGE SHIPPING. Winning bidder to send $500 deposit within 2 days of the auction close. Shipping must be arranged at this time as well On May-05-14 at 18:36:40 PDT, seller added the following information: ***NOTE*** I have been asked about driving this truck a few hundred miles home from a couple of potential buyers…The tires are in need of changing. They are older Michelins with some good tread but OLDER is the key word here. They have a bit of cracking. Keep this in mind. I'm not responsible for your blowout. Just drive within your means or ship it. Be smart about it.  Also, about the oil leak, it seems to mostly leak after driving for a while at temperature. This may be a main seal leak that could be tightened and be fine because these old cork seals act differently at different temperatures. Again, it may be fine with just a few bolts tightened, but the main seal may need to be replaced at some point. Just keep an eye on it. If you want to drive it for a hundred miles home, just be a smart gear head and know your truck and keep an eye on it. Not a major fix with this truck to replace that seal but keep some oil in the truck and keep an eye on it if you are running it hot and at a long distance. AGAIN THIS TRUCK IS SOLD AS IS. Ask me any questions you would like, I'll give you as much info as I can.
