Up for auction is a 1964 Lincoln Continental. This car has been setting in a barn the last 30 year. A true barn find. When the car was parked 30 years ago it was in running and driving condition. Now after all these years it is not in running or in driving condition. It will need the motor gone through, brakes, lights and general repairs before being driven. The outside of the car is in decent shape. The trim is all there but a few pieces are a little ding up. The glass is all there and in good shape. The left mirror is broken but there. The car is complete and not missing anything. Trying to find pieces for these old Lincoln can be quite a task. Having all the pieces is worth quite a bit. The car does have a few dings here and there but nothing that cannot be fixed. There is an area on the lower drivers side quarter panel that the paint has cracked and exposed the metal. Over the year this area has began to rust and a small hole has developed. The front driver side floor pan will need replaced. There is a hole the size of a softball in the floor. Other than that the underside of the car is solid. The engine is currently not running. Before attempting to run the car I would have the engine gone through. As I said before the car was running 30 years ago when parked. There is no reason for me to believe that this engine would not be able to be repaired. Now for the good. This car would make for an excellent restoration project. It is all there and there should not be a lot that you would have to go out and find to restore the car. Unless you don’t want to repair what is already there. This will be a beautiful car once restored. It has a very desirable color combination with the black exterior and red interior. This car will require a winch to be loaded onto a trailer. I will try to be available to help with loading the car. Please do not bid on the car unless you intend to own the car. I have had to re-list cars in the past from non paying bidders. A $500.00 deposit is due in 48 hours from the sale of the car. Full payment is due in 2 weeks from the end of the auction. If you cannot make the payments in this time frame please don’t bid on the car. I will re-list the car if the payment is not made.
