MGA 1500 Coupe!!! Here is a nice example of a MGA Coupe that looks great and is in excellent condition. This car is in beautiful condition and is great fun to drive!!! This car was repainted a few years ago and was just treated to all new chrome, new rubber gaskets and weather strip, new brakes, new exhaust, rebuilt hydrolic systems, new water pump and radiator, rebuilt carbs, new tubes and tires and an all new interior. The engine has been rebuilt at some point as the compression readings are 143, 145, 146, 150. The 4 cylinder engine emits the classic British sports car sound and handles beautifully. The wire wheels wrapped in new Coker White Wall tires really give this car that quintessential British sports look. Buy this turn key MGA, enjoy driving it for a couple of years and sell it on for the same amount as you paid or possibly even a small profit!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: The Factory Old English White paint has recently been applied and has been hand rubbed to a beautiful finish and tlooks nice. When the car was painted they did take all of the glass out etc... and all new rubber trim was replaced. The paint job is of nice driver quality/weekend show quality. The big sweeping body work is in very nice shape and everything lines up pretty well. All of the chrome was also redone and is in very nice shape. The cars exterior is complemented with the gorgeous bright polished grill and painted wire wheels. All of the chrome is in excellent condition and is virtually like new. Only the grill is showing a small amount of wear. You could easily take it to your local weekend car show and show it with pride. This car gets attention EVERYWHERE you go in it!!! It truly is in great condition. Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful trimmed red interior is all new and in excellent condition. The interior was completely gone through and reupholstered including a new headliner. It is all new and is showing virtually no wear. All of the gauges on the dash are in working order and the beautiful large wheel feels great in your hands. All of the lights, turn signals, wipers etc are all in great working order. These cars are very basic and this car does not have a radio. Sitting behind the wheel of the car is a great place to spend the weekend and this car offers a very unique driving experience that few cars can match. Overall the interior is in excellent condition. Click to enlarge Engine: The rebuilt MG 4-cylinder engine revs smoothly and provides plenty of power and torque for the lightweight body and chassis. One of the best things about this car is the sound it makes, it is the classic British sports car sound track that many of us have come to love. The engine starts right up and runs like a top. The engine was recently given a compression test and a valve adjustment. The compression test yeild outstanding results of 143,145,146 and 150. The car runs great and never misses a beat. It has all new plugs, wires etc... It also has a new water pump, and brand new radiator. The 4 speed transmission shifts well, but 2nd gear syncro is weak and will grind if you don't double clutch or shift slowly. If you double clutch it it works excellent. The clutch has plenty of bite and is not in need of replacement. The brake master and the clutch master have "good feel." The hydrolics have recently been rebuilt and bled as well. The car has all new discs and pads up front as well. The engine exhales through a polished stainless exhaust system that looks beautiful and sounds great. The bottom side of the car is extremely clean and well sorted. The car runs beautifully in the desert heat and has recently completed a 100 mile journey without skipping a beat. Everything works, from the lights, to wipers... everything works. This is a turn key MGA Coupe! This is a great driving car and it is an absolute blast to drive.
