Here is a rare find. I purchased this 68 Honda CL 125a Scrambler from the original owner who is now 62 and did some cleanup, replaced bulbs, battery, and have ridden this bike and it purrs like a kitten. Lights work (low beam is out and neutral light not working), horn works, turn signals work, exhaust is solid and original and tires are brand new with the nubs still on them. 40 year old title is included. Since the owner was 16 at the time of getting this bike new it was titled in his parents name and in 1974 the liability transferred to the original owner with the current title dated 1974. The owner said the majority of the miles were put on the first few years and then properly stored inside a garage the rest of it's life with very little use. A few years ago, a Honda mechanic went thru the bike, replaced the tires and tubes and did some motor work, and surely a carb clean. Bike is very original including the paint, chrome, grips etc. The fork "gators" are in need of replacement as the rubber has dried out in 46 years. Inside of the tank is clean. The Honda Motorcycle identification guide shows this bike being made in Candy Red and silver, and Bright Yellow and silver……..But here is a factory CANDY RED one! Hmmmm how many were made in red??? Absolutely NO REPAINT! This is original. The bike includes the near flawless original owners manual also. Recently a yellow repainted bike sold for $3600 here on ebay……… I have a Buy It Now for $2750 on this bike and a reserve that is less, but….if you want a nice original 46 year old, one owner survivor that runs and drives why wait and let someone else use the BUY IT NOW?
