Here is your chance to buy a piece of MX Honda racing history, This is a 1979 Honda CR250R ( Red Sled) I bought this bike from my Friends dad this year he was the original owner, he bought it new in new in in 1982 ( I have all the original documents) He rode it for one summer and then put it in his garage here in California, and it sat for the next 30 years. It is all stock including the front tire !!! The exceptions are as I know, The fork caps, it has All Baker air caps, the handlebars are aftermarket, the rear tire, the rear shocks were replaced, but I have the stock shocks, ( see photos) the rear spark arrest er( but I have the stock one, see photos, and the kick stand, I DO NOT HAVE the kick stand. I bought this bike with the plans to restore it/ race vintage MX, but due to a sudden health issue I have to sell it, Please note I will NOT give it away, my price is a fair price once you look at this bike in detail, please look at all the photos. I am including in this auction a BRAND new NEVER used NOS Stock front rim and spokes, ( the rim that is on the bike , please look at the picture has 3 cracks in it.) Also included is a brand new modern rear tire, A brand new still has raper on it vintage front tire, BRAND new STOCK NOS grips, new air filter, I cleaned the carb bought a rebuild kit for it, cleaned the air filter, change the transmission oil , and this Honda started today April 27, 2014 on the third kick and I rode it down the street shifted through al the gears and the bike ran great !!!! Since it sat for 30 years, I would suggest who ever buys this bike to spend one day and go through the whole bike re-grease every thing, pull the head off and put new piston rings in it, and check/ replace the engine seals, replace fork oil, and go and ride it, ONCE AGAIN THIS BIKE IS 95% stock original !!! You will not find a bike like this again. I tried hard to list everything I know about this bike, please feel free to ask questions.
