Vehicle Detail
VERY USED NISSAN EXTENDED CAB PICKUP- 1985 RUSTY BLUE WITH VARIOUS DENTS AND RUSTY PATCHES. This vehicle is being offered at a very discounted rate. Why you ask? Well it is a 1985 Nissan 4X4 pickup we bought used about 3 years ago for our son who was a new driver. He drove the vehicle for the last 3 years and put some minor upgrades into the vehicle. He had the exhaust repaired, we had a new clutch put into the vehicle, and also did some front end work with the boots and tie rods. The vehicle has ran great for the last couple of years. Unfortunately we are not a mechanically inclined family and it appears there may be some need tune ups needed on the vehicle. Our mechanic explained it may need a rebuilt carburetor or it may need replaced altogether. Additionally, recently our son had his first accident with the vehicle and caused some damage to the right front panel, hood and front bumper area. Due to his recent decision to enlist along with the fact we don't have the mechanical ability to keep the vehicle running, we decided to put it up for auction for someone who has the time and knowledge to conduct the minor maintenance needed to get it running smoothly, or part it out and make some decent money off of it. The engine is good, the vehicle drives great. I owned a Nissan pickup in 1989 and this truck drives just like the one I had. The 4x4 works great. The tires are a little worn as they are about 3 years old. There is alot of rust, it probably leaks a little around the seal of the sun roof. It has a sliding rear window, radio and it does blow heat. There is no AC just the old fashioned role down the window feel. This trucks chassis is solid. The bed has rusted holes in it. What can I say this is an old pickup that still manages to start. I am not trying to sell anyone something they are not aware of. There is nothing pretty about this truck. It is a "beater" with potential. Anyone mechanically inclined could pick this up for a minimal fee, tune it up and drive it around for another good while. I would highly recommend anyone interested in this vehicle to bring a trailer upon picking it up. It will start, and will drive. However, If there is a distance to travel I wouldn't take the risk.
