Vehicle Detail

This is a Grumman Hi Cube Box Van that was gently used as a bread delivery truck in the San Diego Area. This van had 69k original miles and was sitting due to a cracked head. The box is aluminum and corrosion free thus making for a light weight van. The GVWR is 8300 lbs. and is a dulie (dual rear wheels).I purchased a later model 360 roller cam engine and had it rebuilt by Machine Tech here in Oceanside to their exacting standards. They did the heads with hardened seats and new valves for the unleaded fuels, new pistons, polished the crank, new bearings and journals, new oil pump, timing chain and gear set, new cam journals, new lifters, re sized rods and had it balanced. I rebuilt the carburetor, installed a new alternator, new water pump, re-conditioned distributor (even though it didn't need it), new radiator, hoses and belts, flushed and serviced the differential. I serviced the transmission (which showed very little wear), went through the brakes, installed a re-conditioned A/C compressor, receiver/filter dryer and re-charged the system with fresh oil and R134 freon, re-upholstered the cab seats and door pannels, re-arced the rear springs for greater carrying capacity, fabricated a work bench & storage racks from new steel and painted them in urethane grey for long service. I installed a Curtis 150# compressor (less than 6 hrs on it) (sitting on rubber shock pads) and had the exhaust professionally plumbed through the floor, insulated with fiberglass webbing, installed a second battery with an electronic dual battery isolator ( allows the alternator to charge both batteries when the engine is running and isolates the cab battery from the engine battery when the ignition is off), installed a Generac 4kw generator underneath the rear floor with an inside power panel and remote start switch, installed two rear rollers (which keep the van from dragging on driveways), installed 12v overhead florescent lighting in the van, installed and plumbed copper air lines with condensate drains and a heavy duty hose reel. There are air connections, one over the work bench and one by the rear entry (see the pictures). I installed Snap On magnetic tool racks to hold tools on the board (see picture) for easy access. There is a center drain in the workbench for easy clean up for the messy jobs. The double doors swing out from both sides for complete access to the van. I installed a linoleum tile floor in the van, added the foam comfort squares (seethe pictures) for ease when standing at the workbench. I insulated the dog house with marine grade engine insulation so the cab is quiet and cool. I have removed the Winzer fastner cabinets, hose clamp rack and the hose rack. These are expensive items that you may or may not want and they do not go with the truck at this price. If you are interested in them I will make you a good price for them as they are custom fit to the van. They are all NEW fasteners and if you were to price them from Winzer, you will know what they go for. I also have NEW medium and heavy duty tools that I bought for the business that I no longer have any use for and will sell them at a good price.I had the van completely painted and graphics applied. (I since have removed the graphics with my business name and phone nos.) In essence, this van is in like new condition. There are less than a thousand miles on the van since the van was completed.) My tech. did not work out so I shut the business down without ever getting started and it has been kept inside my warehouse since.I did this van first rate (as I do all my work) for a good running, long lasting vehicle. If you were to do a van as I did this one, you would be spending more than what I have invested as in today's market, the prices for parts and labor would well exceed what I have invested in this nice van. It will last you for many years and pay for itself in the money you will save. I am sacrificing it as I need the space and a vehicle sitting does no one any good.A very nice feature for California buyers is that this van is Smog Exempt !Needless to say, this van runs like new and handles very well. I have over 30K invested in this van and know that I will not get all of my investment back. My loss, your gain. If you are looking for a turnkey shop/van to put on the road and start making you money, you do not have to go any further. This is an excellent van that will give you years of service. I am moving from my location here in Oceanside and will not have the space to store this nice van inside any longer. I have reduced the starting price to $4500.00. That is a steal for this van. Do not miss this opportunity to get a nice van.Call me at (760) 754-3166 or (760) 533-7540 and I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
