Vehicle Detail
1962 Plymouth FuryMopar Mopar MoparAs you Mopar fans are aware (or maybe not), the early 60's Mopar's are making a huge resurgence in popularity!!Please read all of the description prior to contacting me. I have a very solid and original 1962 Plymouth Fury hardtop. This is a running project car which will drive once brakes are bled (soft now, but master cylinder was empty and haven't had time to bleed), you can work on while cruising. It has the original stock 361 Big Block 305 horse power V8 (the baby 383). There is not evidence this was ever a push button auto trans, but is has a nostalgic automatic long arm floor shifter. 49k original mileage car. Below is the condition. The pictures of the rust is the only rust I see on the car and is all small sheet metal. All of the frame work is rock solid. -The not so good - -Needs one rocker and one lower quarter patch panel. -The hard headliner has fallen down -The trunk lid has two holes where there appears to have been dual rear (not original) antennas. Replace if you can find a trunk lid or weld patches and use it. -Tires are dry rotted but useable for short distances -Brakes are soft. I will bleed if I can get to it in the next week or so. -Heater hoses unhooked. -Carpet removed to expose the floors The Good- -I have the fender tag, build sheet, owners manual and original brochure from the dealer. -Original matching numbers motor -Nice solid floors, frame and body with exception to the aforementioned above. - All trim is in decent condition. Some chrome may need re-chromed but all stainless trim in great shape -All glass is good -Has power steering, power brakes AND THE POWER WINDOWS WORK!! -Dash is in great shape -Interior seats in great shape -Door panels in great shape -All light lenses in drivers condition in decent shape -Suspension looks like it was redone at some point but appears suitable for driving -No fluid leaks anywhere -Engine runs smooth - no smoke or leaks. It does have an occasional cough. It could be the plug wires since they are ancient The car does need gone through and could be restored to a $40k car with a little time and energy. The cool thing is you can drive this car and restore at the same time. The Plymouth is being sold - -"As is" -"Where is" -Buyer is to pay a $500 Non refundable PAYPAL deposit within 12 hours of Auction End. -Buyer is to arrange and pay for all Shipping. I can be with the car to help load it. -No refunds, No warranties, No promises, NO WORRIES - What you see is what you get. Cash or wire transfer only within 3 days of Auction End. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE..... 443-496-0701 On Apr-19-14 at 17:14:17 PDT, seller added the following information: A gentleman just called me from GA. He stated the 5 on the fender tag and build sheet was special order floor shifter according to his book from Galen Govier. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. Sounds to be. I have a picture of the build sheet and I also have posted the original BOS. The Fury has a 273 Suregrip rear from the factory.
