Vehicle Detail

1998 Honda Valkyrie GL1500CT. One of the more rare Jade (Green) paint options of that year. Paint has been customized and the bike has many custom options. Custom Options: Kuryakyn Grips w/throttle boss Kuryakyn Mirrors Heal-toe shifter w/pegs Highway pegsFloor boards Light covers Dragon Stacks Pipes Mustang Seat Stainless steel Braided Cables and hoses Saddlebag rail guards (original factory) Custom Dragon Work (see pictures) for radiator, seat, and windshield Chrome air intake velocity stacks Chrome ignition guard Chrome transmission cover Chrome cam end covers Chrome license plate frame Chrome Swing arm pivot cover Chrome caliper covers Custom detail painting on side covers, front fender and saddle bags After market custom parts are valued at well over $5,500. It has Avon Venom R tires. Front has a couple thousand miles on it. The Rear was replaced last season and has only a few hundred miles on it. This bike is called “The Dragon.” Many of the customized parts have dragon themes including radiator, rear back rest, and a beautiful translucent picture of a dragon on the windshield. This is the king of all cruising bikes. Truly a one of a kind and a real head-turner. I get compliments on this bike all the time. No one believes the age of the bike because the condition is excellent. This is not a beginner’s bike. Only experienced big bike riders should consider purchasing a machine of this size and power. The exhaust system is very unique. These are not stock pipes. The Dragon Stack Pipes are an after-market “Harley Killer.” Stock pipes are frequently characterized as too quiet. There are several good after-market exhaust pipes available for the Valkyrie; however, Dragon Stacks, are the meanest sounding pipes you can find. When I got the bike I was really impressed; however, running down the highway they were too loud. I contacted the manufacturer and they sold me “Piglet Insert” that slip into the stacks. When I am running around town or back and forth to work, the Piglets are in and the sound level is very acceptable. Head to a motorcycle rally and the Piglets come out (one 10 mm bolt) and my Valkyrie sounds meaner than any hog out there while still maintain the purr of the boxer engine. This motorcycle is well maintained. Always stored in my garage. I never take it out in the rain although I have been caught in the rain a couple of time. I only use the best synthetic oil money can buy and the bike gets cleaned and service routinely.
