1972 Triumph Stag V8!!! Here is an absolutely gorgeous 1972 Triumph Stag finished in its beautiful BLUE over a brown interior!!! This is a great looking car but it is also a great driving car. This car has only traveled 5k or so miles since restoration and is one of the nicest Stags around. This was a complete and thorough restoration thats costs exceed the asking price of the car without even factoring the cost of the car. This car has NEVER been in an accident. The color combo looks absolutely stunning. This car features a strong Triumph V8 that sounds absolutely incredible. The cylinder heads were recently rebuilt and the typical timing chain issues addressed. This car also has the rare Automatic transmission that has that makes for relaxed motoring. This car is in excellent condition and it truly shows. The paint job is beautiful and the body is laser straight. Everything on the car lines up incredibly well and this is one of the nicest bodies I have ever come across. The interior is like new and in excellent condition and the hard top has a new canvas headliner. This car also comes with a soft top frame. This is an extremely well sorted car with no issues. During the restoration the whole car was disassembled and completely gone through. This car is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. The Triumph Stag was an excellent car built just a little too late. How many British Sports Cars can you buy for less than 50k dollars and have a V8, automatic transmission, A/C, both soft top and hard top and 4 seats? One drive in this Classic British Sports Car and with the top down on a spring day its easy to understand why these cars are so coveted by those who own them. The paint job was performed on a professionally stripped and rust free body. The paint looks very nice and in excellent condition. As you can see from the photos the body is laser straight. The paint job was a very high quality job and not an inexpensive quick repaint. This whole car was done by professionals and it shows. The chrome is in excellent shape for being original. The car looks excellent with its beautiful paint and chrome trim sitting on a beautiful set of beautiful new alloy wheels. Overall the exterior of this Triumph is in excellent condition!!! Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful brown interior is like new and in excellent shape. The seats look gorgeous and the padding is in excellent shape. The seat upholstery is all free of rips, tears and stains. The door panels are also in excellent shape. The dash board is free of any cracks or splits and the glove box door is in excellent shape. The tops of the dash are free of cracks and everything on the dash is working just as it should. All of the gauges were gone through and everything is working in tip top condition. The power windows work with ease. Overall the interior of this classic is in Excellent shape. Behind the wheel is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: This classic 1971 Triumph Stag is an excellent driving and well sorted car. The engine pulls strongly and smoothly. The car fires right up and runs like a top. The engine has virtually no oil leaks and runs really strong. The original Triumph V8 engine has been rebuilt at an enormous expense. The rebuilt transmission shifts beautifully through all the gears and the linkage feels nice and tight. The brakes are strong and stop this car with ease. The suspension was rebuilt at the time or restoration and all of the ball joints and bushing look to be in great shape. The car tracks down the road without wondering and freeway journeys are pleasurable. The desirable automatic transmission also makes for relaxed cruising on the highway. The car overall has a very tight feeling and nothing about the car feels worn out. Many "freshly restored" cars for sale have only been driven down the street and in and out of the back of a trailer for shows... this car has had all the "kinks" worked out of it and it is fully roadworthy.
