*** NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS*** To: the bidders on this auction previous, I apologize for the re-listing of this cycle, it never occurred to me that someone would bid on this auction and just not communicate or finish the transaction. Thanks for your patience and bids again. I will be updating this add with additional pictures and information as the week gets on, if you have any questions, need additional information or pictures be sure to ask. This bike runs and drives, I have done nothing with the transmission other than change the oil and therefore cannot comment on its condition. Titled as a 66 but I think its older. I mentioned in the cons section this motorcycle has differential timing, which makes it difficult to get overall timing set so it has a rough idle. I have been chipping away at this project for the last couple of years and just plain run out of time to get it any further, with that being said this bike will need some tuning and a go over before you take any trips. VIN # 638200, Oregon Title in hand. Pro:all seals replaced with Viton unless noted final drive seals and gaskets replaceduniversal joint on drive shaft replaced and new bootnew tires new batteryengine disassembled, all seal replaced, slingers cleaned, components measured for play, fit, tolerance etc and then reassembledHeads rebuilt by Cycleworksassorted rubber pieces replaced new throttle cablesbuco side bagsoriginal Oregon platenew fuel lines and filtersmatching numbers Con:at some point the steering damper was removed, dent in the gas tanktool box is locked, but there seems to be something in there both valve covers have rash has differential timinghorn doesn't work/ haven't looked at itsome monkey bent the oil pan up by over tightening the bolts, I've got one of those new rubber reusable oil pan gaskets from Vech that may solve this issue, its got fiber on it now.missing 2 Buco lensesside bags have some scratching and cosmetic flaws $1000 non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction end, remainder due within 7 days by postal money order. Buyer arranges all transportation of cycle and must be moved from current location within two weeks of auctions end. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the motorcycle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. If you require an inspection, have it done prior to bidding. I strongly encourage all bidders to inspect the motorcycle personally or enlist the services of a professional inspector prior to placing a bid. After the sale, inspections are not recognized as a contingency to completing your obligation to your winning bid. If there are any questions regarding the above terms, please e-mail prior to bidding. After some looking around I also have a 6V tender that I can throw in, a Denfield rear rack, an assortment of gaskets, bits and bobs, the original owners manual, and the original mirror that goes on the left hand grip. The compression is low on both sides, while warm 5 "kicks" brings each side to 90 psi plus or minus 5lb (resolution of gauge);the cylinders and pistons were the next thing to go through, I wanted to make sure the slingers weren't full of junk before working my way out, since the heads were being rebuilt I assembled the engine, cylinders etc while waiting for them to return.the bike has its original pistons the rings were noted as having a gap that was out of spec on reassembly the cylinder walls had no pitting and appeared to be in good conditionwhen the engine was dissembled the pistons were *gently* cleaned with solvent and a soft bristle brush to remove carbon deposits Note: Ebay pulled the add because I used the wrong category ( I used the category that was suggested when I typed " 1966 BMW R50/2 motorcycle" into the * Describe you item* line for the listing. Ebay apparently ha\s no way to change the category of an item while maintaining the item time, bidders and auction number. So.. lets try this again...
