I am selling my 1978 L82 4 Speed Silver Anniversary Corvette. Bought it as a Christmas Gift but that didn't go over well, so I am selling it.. It is in Great shape with all original inside and outside parts. The car is definitely a survivor car. It has 38,000 miles on it. Since I have only owned it a few months and with the cold weather I haven't done anything to it.. It starts right up everytime, I have a battery tender on it so battery doesn't die. If I could keep it, I definitely would be.. It isn't 100 point show quality car, it is a 10 footer, but nothing I would be ashamed to drive and take to shows and I am picky. The Good: Nice unmolested interior. Original Seats are nice no rips. door panels are nice. Original Steering Wheel nice.. no Rips Dash panel has no cracks. All gauges work except Clock, which is a common issue and easy to fix. Front and rear carpet is nice. None of the plastic trim in the car is cracked. Radio works fine. Wheels good. Tires good. Runs great Shift great L82 Engine 4 Speed The needed: (None of these impact the drivability of the car in any way. ) Needs new antenna mast. (typical problem) Motor works fine. $20 fix. Needs new storage compartment in rear frame and carpet squares. Frame has a couple cracks and door don't close nicely. Again a common issue. Typical 80's GM quality. (inexpensive.) Previous owner accidently try to close the hood with out moving the latch first and cracked the piece of fiber glass that hold the hood latch on to the fender. Can be fixed easily by a body guy. (not very expensive.) Shifter Console cover plastic could use new cover. Not cracked or anything just would look nicer if new. (Inexpensive) Ash tray (Metal cover )could use a refresh now cover (Cheap) or even cheaper clean off and respray Black. Eventually the paint could use a refresh. New tires eventually. (Currently has the larger 225/60 on it. Option for this year. Std tire is a 225/70) I think the drivers window will need to be tightened it has a little play in itcan only tell when it is rolled down. The ORIGINAL weather stripping will need replacing eventually. Again poor 80's GM quality, no major rips or anything that I saw just not fresh and smooth. Crappy floor mats. (Previous owner put in crappy replacements) I would change, first thing (Again, just me being picky.) Like I said above this is not a 100 Point show car but something you can drive and be proud to own. It is a great survivor car you can drive and make any upgrades and alterations of your choice as you drive it around. I don't think you would be disappointed. I have tried to tell you everything I know of the car and am being as honest as I can being I have only owned it for three months and haven't been able to drive it alot due to the bad SNOWY winter. It's a very nice Vette and hate to let it go, I would buy it all over again, but it's more prudent that I let it go.. Payment: The car will not be let go until all funds are sent and cleared.
