Vehicle Detail

1980 Triumph TR8. Project because it has been garage stored for 6 years & very little usage from 1993 or so. I purchased from the Original owner who was selling to raise cash/donate for his church. LOW ORIGINAL MILES. GOOD: Some new brake lines, etc. Brakes work but stick (less with movement). No rust except for a 2"x half inch spot located near gas cap (see picture). That includes floors, inner & outer rockers, quarters; literally no rust. Everything in trunk looks new (metal, battery mounts, spare well & vinyls. Starts, runs with gravity fed gas can to carbs. Starter is strong & turns engine over easy & correctly. NO accidents. No replaced body parts. Hood latches up & closes flush/tight ( I left slightly open in pictures ). Everything closes flush, tight evenly. Bumpers & front lower deflector rubber are incredibly preserved. No dents, almost no dings. All excellent glass. Perfect dash accept for needing cleaned. Top frame is fully operational & clamps easily tight. Seats are original no rips, cloth. Adjust/slide mechanisms work easy. As preserved as an unrestored low odometer mileage can be. Comes with NEW soft top still in box. BAD: Although engine starts, it is only running on one carb, or one & a half (even with good gravity feed; ?maybe not enough pressure & carbs are expected to be sychronized {remember sitting longtime}?). Seems to have good compression(only 44k original miles). Clutch slave cylinder needs replacement. Clutch does grab when put into gear & turn key. The original purchaser in 1980 said all the gears & clutch were perfect when last used. Brakes will need rechecks. I have not had time to verify what works & doesn't as far as lights, etc. Air blower motor, directionals, wipers, & some gauges worked. Two ignition lights came on when ignition on. So far no headlights, four ways, fog lights, horn. I have not messed with fuses & relays yet (that is my suspect of problems). May need tires? >>>Comes with original spare rim/tire, spare pressboard cover, a metal splash pan (goes under radiator I think), parts of jack, top boot, original vinyl trunk pad, original glove box TR8 manuals, battery bottom & top retainers. As mentioned: new top! Note: I put the top down & sat the boot onto it for the pictures (not done per complete proper way). Boot is in excellent condition; I did not clean it yet. Good battery (holds charge). OPTIONS: power steering, brakes & air conditioning. More pictures of rust free inner wheel wells, rockers, doors etc. I'm pretty sure most readers know by the end of this description, this is an "as is " sale & cannot be driven home. Must be trailered. Has a clear Florida title.
