Vehicle Detail
A FINE EXAMPLE OF GERMAN HISTORY This 1983 vintage Mercedes; the w123 chassis was built to last, and many are still on the road today. While they were not built for speed they are widely considered to possess one of the most reliable engines ever built. The timeless design has endured the test of time, making it a desirable classic that is here to stay! I purchased this vehicle with the intention of adding it to my collection of classic Mercedes and rotating into in as a commuter for many years; therefore, I have invested greater $2,000 within the last 2 months, tuning, flushing, replacing hoses and belts, battery, alignment, complete fuel system flush with new filters, transmission service and adjustments along with other maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal and safe performance. If you know these cars, you will also know that none of them are exactly alike in how they age, perform and drive; I have owned 5 and have 3 at the current moment. While this car's odometer reads a low (undocumented 133K miles) do not rely on mileage when buying an older, let alone classic Mercedes; care, maintenance, preservation and performance are the pillars of reliability. Highlights: - Michelin Tires good to very good - Starts strong with little smoke and blow by - Brakes are in good condition - Sunroof works perfectly - Windows work perfectly - Seats, headliner and other interior components in very good condition - Body-- solid absolutely no rust - Cold, yes, Cold AC - Working Cruise Control - No know leaks or drips -New warrantied battery - Working Antenna - Lower miles (undocumented) - Upgraded CD player with AUX Port - Upgraded Speakers front and back Known Needs/Opportunities: - Vacuum for door locks no operable - Paint is shiny and consistent as seen in pictures; however, has fine clear coats cracks only noticeable from a few feet away. - 1 dent on passenger rear door completely hidden by the trim added by the previous owner. - 3 fine cracks in the dash (less that 2.5 inches long) This is a car ready for daily transportation without excuses or compromises; solid, classic looks, unrivaled reliability, economy, style and class. Thanks for your interest and please only contact me if you have serious interest in the car. Vehicle will be sold with Georgia Bill of Sale. If you are looking for a clean, well maintained and road ready example of the w123 for a fair price, your search is over. Look at the rest; in detail, ask the critical questions and you will understand the value being offer here. Sorry for the picture quality, they were taken in the rain as we have had poor weather here in Georgia for that last few days.
