Vehicle Detail

1966 Mustang 2+2 Fastback A-Code In 1966, Ford produced 27,809 standard Fastbacks out of 600,000+ Mustangs. The vehicle was purchased in 2005 with everything original still on the car. In 2006, the original motor was replaced with a newly re-built hi-performance 289 V8 with 4 barrel Demon carb. The motor came out of a 64 1/2 Mustang. (Rebuilt by B&M Engine Service, Portland, OR) The transmission is a heavy-duty 4-speed (toploader with Hurst linkage I think). Interior is all still original to the car. In 2011, the car had everything else done that could get it on the road... New suspension. New disc brakes all around. (drilled and slotted rotors) New radiator. New chrome alternator. New gas tank, fuel line, fuel sender. New dual FlowMaster exhaust system. New rear bumper. New tail lights. New mirrors. Less than 100 miles have been driven on the car since it has had all of the above work. The original odometer has turned over and the title is mileage exempt. We have some of the receipts for the work/parts listed above but not all. Car has typical rusting that would be expected of an old car in the northwest. We attempted to take pictures of the worst areas. Car has been garaged at least since we purchased it in 2005. According to the previous owner, the bottom of the quarter panels were damaged when snow chains came loose while on the road. Brand new quarter panels have already been purchased and come with the car. You can also see that the floor pans have been rusted out. If you have questions about the rust, the best I can do is take close-up photos of whatever you'd like to see and email them to you. Or you can come see it locally! There are quite a few parts that come with the car as well... New GT hood with scoop Two new quarter panelsNew front fenderNew front grillNew pony emblem for grillNew front valence (the valence on the back of the car is new as well and customized for the dual-dual tips)New windshieldTwo new wheelhouse piecesNew GT fog lights and lampsA striping kitA bunch of trim/molding piecesThere is also other small miscellaneous parts. Everything we have for the car goes with it! This is a beautiful car that sounds fantastic and driving it is an absolute blast. I will cry to see the car go, but my financial priorities have changed. I bought it in 2005 when I was 17, and now I'm a mother with a second child on the way. The car just needs someone to buy it, love it, and take it through the remainder of its restoration. This car is also listed locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early. I've done my best to represent the car honestly and accurately. The car is being sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Full payment must be issued before the vehicle ships. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Please email tannaw16@gmail.com with questions or inquire through the listing. You can also call my husband Greg at 503-737-9226 with questions. Thanks for viewing! On Apr-07-14 at 20:33:43 PDT, seller added the following information: **ADDENDUM** There have been a few questions regarding the listed VIN number and whether the car is an A Code. I verified that the VIN listed on ebay is the same as the VIN physically on the car (body) and the title. The VIN has a 'T' instead of an 'A' because the car originally had a V6 motor in it. As I stated, the original motor was removed and replaced with a 289 V8 with 4 barrel carb from a different Mustang. This is why I've listed it as an A-Code. I've also removed the words "high-performance" from the ad when describing the motor. Although I do believe some upgrades were done to beef up the motor, I don't want "high-performance" to be misconstrued for a K-Code HiPo. As far as I know, the motor is NOT a K-Code motor. I tried to find a VIN stamp on the motor to include in the listing but was unsuccessful. **ADDENDUM** 1966 Mustang 2+2 Fastback A-Code In 1966, Ford produced 27,809 standard Fastbacks out of 600,000+ Mustangs. On Apr-07-14 at 22:09:52 PDT, seller added the following information: **Electrical is all original** I forgot to make a statement in the original add about the electrical. All wiring/lighting/horn/etc... is original to the car. It is hit or miss as far as what works and what doesnt. The tail lights DO work. Past that, I make no guarantees. Since owning the car we haven't made any attempt to change headlights/fuses/etc.. or troubleshoot anything electrical. We have mainly focused on the bigger ticket items to get the car running and driving safely. It is quite possible that many electrical items work just fine given that a fuse gets changed and new bulbs installed. But again, I make no guarentees, **Electrical is all original**
