It was years ahead of its time in both styling and technology. With its super-smooth, powerful V4 engine, the 698cc Magna will easily keep up with much larger bikes. Although Honda won’t release actual production numbers for the Super Magna, the “Super Magna Owner’s Group” estimates production at 10,937 for the 1987 Magna based on members’ provision of sequential serial numbers. Super Magnas are extremely collectible. You can rest assured VERY few other bikers will have one like it! Expect curious questions and admiring stares wherever you go on this classic bike. This particular bike is up for sale because I have too many in the garage, and no room to move. It’s been in my family since 2005. I don’t ride it anymore, and it needs to be ridden. It has just over 10,000 original miles. It runs good; the tires are good, although the rear tire is old and likely needs replacing. It will have a new battery when sold. The bike is 27 years old, so you shouldn’t expect it to be in showroom condition. It has the usual small condition issues you might expect from a bike this old, including some scrapes on the right lower pipe, and a couple of small dimples in the tank (see photos). All four heat shields are intact on the bike, which is very rare to find on these bikes. I have done my best to show any flaws in the photos. I will help with shipping, or the bike can be picked up locally. It has a valid Alabama title. The winning bidder must provide a $250 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close. View my feedback and bid with confidence. On Apr-12-14 at 12:31:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added photos of the side covers (front and back) to show that there are no gouges or pieces missing. All connecting tabs are intact and original. The paint on this bike is original. The new battery is installed, and I rode the bike around the block this afternoon. There is also a photo of an aftermarket, custom-made passenger backrest that was on the bike for several years. The backrest is NOT part of the auction, but could be purchased separately if interested. The photo is included because a question (and answer) were posted about it earlier. Thanks for looking!
