Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I have up for sale my 1989 BMW E34 535i/5 speed, build date 12/21/1988. I'm the 4th owner, the 3rd owner bought it from the original family 2 years ago.It’s a very fun car to drive and gets complimented by those familiar with this model. It’s a great looking and driving car and should provide its next owner with many more years of reliable driving enjoyment. These particular E34’s are currently experiencing a nice incline in value per NADA and this would be a nice example to ride that rise with. I would keep it myself, but I have my eye on another opportunity and can’t dedicate time and resources on two ongoing projects. Here’s a brief rundown on things done and things needed. We’ll begin with what it needs first: · There is an issue with the lights: The parking light warning chimes and I believe it needs an LKM as the rear taillights are inop as is the cruise control · Needs a valve adjustment · Driver’s seat has the infamous “lean” to it. Needs the cables adjusted · The onboard info is sporadic in relaying info, and the pixels are burnt in a few of the digits (clearly seen in the dash picture where the mileage and info center is unlit) · Passenger front strut mount is on its way out, kidney grille trim piece and driver rear window upper trim not yet installed K Now on to the good: · The reason I bought it and the reason you might also…ITS A 5 SPEED, 1 of a little over 5,000 E34 535i's that were built as such!!! · Original California and Oregon car- But being that it was out there it had bad sun fade and I just had it painted back its original Shwarz · New CSB · New distributor cap/rotor · New Fuel filter · New tires 235/45-17 mounted on chrome BBS RX 203 ET10 wheels with lock (very nice and unique wheels) · New water pump · Recently aligned · New lower radiator hose · New left and right front control arms · Bilstein Sport struts up front · Fresh oil/filter and air filter · Everything functions-A/C, Heat, Sunroof, pwr mirrors, defrosters · Genuine E34 car cover · OEM tool kit · OEM radio comes with the car · New muffler (non-factory style. A bit on the “vocal” side) · Clean interior with nice OEM mats. The original owner had the front seats redone a back in August of 2006 · I have a stack of receipts that came with the car dating back to 1990. On Apr-08-14 at 12:25:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I've gotten a few messages about high dollar repairs that were done in the past. Here's a few: here's a rundown of the large cost items : @ 105k the rear sub-frame and rear springs were replaced for $1300. @ 111k the clutch was replaced along with crank and trans seals for $742. @ 127k the head gasket was done for $332 @ 130k the ac compressor was replaced and system converted to R134 for $1930. @ 143k the radiator was replaced for $834.also at the same mileage the sunroof motor was replaced for $706. @ 170k the trans was rebuilt, u joint replaced along with the struts for $3264. tons more purely maint items as well.
