1966 Chevrolet C 10 Short Wheelbase Big Back Window Pickup with Deluxe Side Trim. Previous owner was a retired professional airline mechanic who installed a 1973 Chevrolet 350 pickup motor, T350 Automatic, factory power steering, and 1973 truck rear axle. He stated motor had about 85K miles on it (now probably about 90K miles). Runs, drives, and sounds absolutely great. New rear brakes January 2014; within last 15 months truck has received a new gas tank, aluminized dual exhaust, and tires. Actual mileage on truck is unknown due to age. Previous owner removed pickup bed and replaced bed wood during repaint (around 2004). Most of the truck frame was painted chassis black at that time. Bed wood has now turned grey, still looks great on underside. He also replaced the outer rockers at the time of repaint. Truck basically has a driver quality repaint (some dings and sanding scratches show), but always gets compliments as is. Dash is uncut with original AM radio. Doors have never been cut for speakers. There is rust bubbling up in the lower front fenders and front edge of hood. Floor pans have about a 12 inch square metal patch screwed to floors in outer front corners of floor (patch is water tight). I am including a pretty good used hood when the truck reserve is met - this hood has a FEW small rust spot in the outer edge - easy fix, or cut out what you need to repair current hood on truck. I was planning to replace the hood and front fenders, and have the color matched, painting the replacement hood and fenders. The truck has an LMC front seat upholstery kit on it. Almost all parts are available as reproductions for reasonable cost from LMC, H&H trucks, etc. Original windshield has some wiper scratches but no cracks or chips. Original bumper chrome is shiny but there is some pitting and peeling of chrome (see rear bumper close up). Truck has old "Blue Dot" tail light lenses. Truck is a fun driver. All lights and windshield wipers work. Original AM radio and horn do not work. Drive as is, or restore / repaint to your taste. Reserve is very reasonable. Truck is garaged, would like truck picked up within 10 days of auction end. Payment must be cash or electronic transfer of funds (sorry, too much funny business with all kinds of checks).
