First year for the Ranger! This 2wd, long bed truck just got rescued from a 15-year nap. Base model but has A/C P/S P/B and factory 8-track! Runs and drives but will need several things before putting it on the road. Engine smokes and the damper/balancer is distorted so it "wobbles" and causes vibration...this will need attention first thing. Alternator was not charging, so it will need rebuilt/replaced. You can see in the pics I have the fan/ shroud / belts all off to remove alternator and work on damper. That's as far as I got. It can still be started and driven for short spurts, like loading onto trailer. I can put it all back together if buyer wishes. Set up for two batteries but only sold with one. 4-spd shifts good in reverse, 1st and 2nd ( 3rd and 4th?). Surface rust on roof and bedside ( see pics). Rusted through along sill plates in floor and under one of the seat brackets. Frame is solid. A/C may not be working (never tested). Radio works but speakers are bad. Truck was originally Medium Blue Metallic, painted white by local John Deere dealer while in their fleet. Most of the left bedside paint damage is where they removed their green/yellow stripes. Title is still in their name, signed off as seller, but not dated / priced. Will need 2-4 tires and muffler/ tailpipe. Windshield has vertical crack in the center. You can go a few ways with this truck...parts only, work truck, or restore.. since they are so rare (only made 1983-84). Reserve is below $700. If you are close to Southeast Missouri, I highly suggest you look it over before bidding. Sold AS-IS...Where-Is...must be towed/trailered.
