Vehicle Detail
1985 Chevy K20 pickup runs good has 93500 miles 250 gallon water poly tank with booster pump for using on grass fire or brush. Body in good condition no rust. Tires have 80% good tread. Have tailgate that is not shown in pics. one small dent in hood. small tear on driver side of bench seat. fuel gauge needs looked at not sure why not working. Truck has dual tanks and runs on gas, tank switch does work. Has been with Oakland Fire & Rescue for past 15 years or so. Has been maintained in fire hall and serviced monthly. On Apr-04-14 at 10:52:42 PDT, seller added the following information: This Truck is located in Oakland, Ne and has been used for the Oakland Volunteer Fire Dept. I am the current Chief for the Department and this is the first time we have listed anything on ebay, this being there is no history for seller on ebay. 1985 Chevy K20 4x4 pickup runs good has 93500 miles. Body in good condition no rust. Underside of the truck is clean very little rust floor pans and frame look good. Transmission and 4 wheel drive works good. Engine is a original 350 with no rebuilt runs good valve cover gaskets and others holding good. Not much for oil build up on the block or intake. I did see that the transfer case and rear end has residue on casing but is not dripping, the rubber for ball joints look good. the truck gets yearly service at the local shop. The AC does work blows cool air not Cold as I don't believe it hasnt been charged recently. Overall a good truck for 1985 Tires have about 80% tread the are about 10 yrs old but not showing weathering or cracks. The truck has dual tanks and switch still works The fuel gage does not work it maybe a sensor or a bad spot on the back of the gage board. ( which new ones can be found at LMC truck we just haven't done it yet ) The Fire department does monthly checks on each of are trucks which includes checking all fluids starting and driving the trucks around town or highway for about 15 minutes. The rear end gears are 4.10 We have the tail gate for the truck setting in the back corner in good shape. The hood has a small dent on the drivers side it may be able to be pushed out looks like some one set something on it. The Drivers Seat has a tear on the end but the foam still is in good shape. This truck is equipped with a 250 gallon water poly tank with booster pump for using on grass fire or brush. This all sits on a skid unit and can be removed form the truck with a few bolts. The truck also has a custom build rear rack so personal can ride in the back while on a call and has two spots for tools like racks and shovels. The pump engine is a Honda 18 hp electric start and the water pump I believe is a Waterous. The skid unit has a hose reel with 100 ft or 1" rubber hose the reel works ok some times if you pull back to hard against it wants to stop could be cleaned and tuned up some. it also has a short section of hose for the rider in the rear of the truck and two nozzles the work but I can say they are not great they are older nozzles The skid unit I believe was built by DANKO in Snyder, Ne The reason for selling the Truck is the Department has received a grant last year. we purchased a 2013 Ford 350 diesel with a bigger water tank, diesel pump and safer rear passenger riding areas along with other items to better utilizes a small truck for our department needs. This has been a good truck for us but we do not have the room to keep it. As we try hard to stay current with are department needs for the man power we have.
