Vehicle Detail
Hi, I am selling my 2003 BMW M3. It's hard to let a convertible of this caliber go with summer just around the corner, but I am soon to begin remodeling my house and will need a work truck. When I finished college two years ago, my Dad (a body-man with 30+ years of experience) surprised me with this car. He bought it from Insurance Auto Auctions with a salvage title and the two of us rebuilt it for me to drive. We finished the project in about 5 months, had it inspected, serviced, aligned, added four fresh tires, and since then I have been riding in style. This is a reliable car, with a stunning appearance, great speed, and excellent maneuverability. I have put 20,000 miles on it without any problems whatsoever. What caught our eye about this particular M3, was that the damage to the car was very localized (it had hit a phone pole dead center). So localized in fact, that the bi-xenon headlights remained completely unscathed. The vital organs in front of the engine (radiator, a/c condenser, fans, shrouds, etc.) needed replacing, but the motor and the car’s skeleton/frame had not been compromised by the collision. After we replaced everything that was broken, damaged, or deployed (driver’s side airbag) with OEM parts from our nearest BMW certified dealer, we added a new hood, a new bumper, and the car was complete. It fired up the first try and has been running healthy ever since. This car is incredible and has been treated right. I keep it clean inside and out, and oil changes have been done with the BMW recommended Castrol 10w60. In spite of my sentimental attachment to it, I am pricing this car at wholesale value because I know that it still needs a bit of work and money spent to become the show-stopper that it was born to be. I know too that the way I'm pricing it, a discerning e46 enthusiast, car collector, retailer, or speed demon will recognize that this is a real deal on an e46 M3. Take a look at the KBB value if you need reassurance. I am prepared to let it go for a reasonable offer. If there are any questions or concerns about the car please feel free to contact me. Thanks, Andy
