Overview: This vehicle was generously donated by an Antique Automobile Car Club of America (AACA) member for resale -- with the proceeds to benefit the AACA Museum. It was purchased new from Spartanburg Dodge in Spartanburg, SC in June of 1998. It is in overall very good condition and would make an ideal second car, first car for a young adult or used, as the previous owners did, as a “support” vehicle towed behind their motorhomes. Mechanical: The vehicle is equipped with a 1.6L 4 cylinder, fuel injected engine backed by a manual transmission. The engine uses regular unleaded gasoline and is rated at 95 H.P. EPA fuel economy ratings are 23 city and 25 highway. The engine starts and runs well and appears to be in overall good condition and well cared for. The same applies to the 5-speed manual transmission. Exterior: The original white paint on this vehicle retains its gloss and its overall appearance is only marred by a 1” scratch on the hood and a scratch on the rear bumper. There are no dents or evidence of rust present. All window glass is in good condition with no cracks or other issues—as are all external lights—all of which are fully operational. Interior: The gray cloth interior of the vehicle is in equally great condition – clean and with little wear. The same applies to the carpet, dash and headliner. All controls operate as designed. Chassis: Please see the pictures – they speak for themselves. This is a very clean vehicle—inside, outside, and underneath! Tires: Although all tires have good tread remaining, the rear tire sidewalls show some slight cracking. The vehicle comes with a serviceable spare. Accessories and Options: The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning and an AM/FM radio. It does not have power windows, door locks, power seats or cruise control. Additional Equipment: Included with the vehicle are both a tow bar and a towing bracket affixed to the front of the vehicle for towing behind another vehicle—items worth in excess of $600.00. Additional Information: We believe that with the description and the pictures provided, we have represented this vehicle as accurately as possible. It has a valid Pennsylvania title which will be transferred to the new owner upon successful completion of the transaction. Shipping and transportation of the sidekick, if desired, are the responsibility of the new owner. We will gladly work with you or the shipper/transporter of your choice to coordinate the move. The new owner will have two weeks from the completion of the auction to pick up the vehicle -- unless other arrangements are made in advance. If the vehicle is not picked up within this time frame (and other satisfactory arrangements are not made), then we reserve the right to charge a storage fee for the vehicle based on the local going rate.
