i am offering my 1997 f-250 POWER STROKE 7.3 turbo diesel up for auction. last year of the old body style. i bought it for work and am no longer in need of it. the 7.3 turbo is the best diesel ford ever used. at a little under 250k miles she is barely broken in. tons of power and still gets 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway ( better mpg than my wife's mid size SAV ). this engine doesn't miss a beat ( no smoke other than the puff of light white at start up when its cold). it is all stock ( never chipped or modified ). it starts right up and runs strong. paired with a new FORD transmission replaced less than 60k miles ago ( i have the receipt $3129.25 ). 4 wheel drive works as it should (transfer case and manuel hubs). new batteries and alternator less than a year old. i would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. the body is straight and it drives straight down the road.the frame is straight with no issues. no known accidents, it all appears to be original. it has the XLT trim with all the options. it has the trailer package. there is a class 5 receiver hitch with electric brake controller ( brake controller is only 1 year old ). all wired to the 7 way rv plug ( that works as it should). there is a bed liner with tool box. this truck has plenty of life left in it. bid with confidence. i have noted and listed pictures of all the defects. a deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of auction ending. balance due must be paid within 7 days of auction ending. cash,certified funds,or deposit accepted at any wells fargo bank. local pickup or i will drive it to you anywhere in the continental US ( up to 50 miles free - $1/mile for ALL MILES if it is more than 50 miles ) please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
