Up for auction is a 1969 Porsche 911S Targa project. This car was converted to look like an '80's 911 sometime ago back when it was the thing to do. Although the fenders, hood, decklid, quarters, etc. were replaced, the car still retains it's matching 'S' engine and what I believe to be original 5-speed. Important numbers.. Vin: 119310147Engine number: 6390543Trans number: 901/07 7191880Production number on dash: 1190906Exterior Color Code: 6809 (Tangerine) The condition of this 911 is what I consider a full restoration project. Because of the cars rarity, it deserves to be restored back to its original long hood prestige. The following is what I feel needs the most attention.. The car sat in the previous owners garage for over ten years. The engine ran when parked per the previous owner, however, I would count on doing a full rebuild because of its lengthy hibernation. Gas tank and lines will need attention. You may opt to replace tank as it is rusty and stinks bad. Car will need rust repairs to the floor and rockers. There are some previous shoddy repairs to the floor where someone overlapped another floor piece over the rotted area. The front apron was modified and fitted with an apron from a later car to accommodate the short hood. The body is nice and looks straight. Car is being sold "AS IS" in non-running, restore-able condition and comes with what's pictured. Title is clean but not in my name. Will provide bill of sale along with signed title to new owner. I encourage all interested parties to view the car in person as I simply cannot describe every square inch of the car on text.The car is currently located at a friends house in Montague California, just outside Yreka which is 5 hours away from me. If you want additional pictures or info on the car, please allow a little time to get back to you as I work full time and have to rely on my friend to send me pics. Shipping is buyers responsibility. On Mar-24-14 at 16:11:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Couple things I need to go over since there is some confusion. In the description I stated the body is in nice shape. I am referring to the exterior of the car. The underside, as I stated , will need rust repair. This means you will have to replace rusted areas on the floors and rocker panels. Also, what I am referring to by the modified front apron is the front latch support panel and front section of suspension pan. These items will need replacement to properly restore the car back to original long hood configuration. I also want to note that aside from deposit, vehicle must be paid in full, with cleared funds, prior to vehicle pick up. Cash in person is fine too.
