Vehicle Detail
Here is a very rare 1954 Buick Special Estate Wagon in great shape. Car was garaged for most of its life. Interior is in good overall shape. Front seat is unstitched in places, but the back is good. Everything original. These wagons are extremely hard to come by, especially in such a good solid condition. No headliner or carpet, but the floors are solid. This wagon runs and drives great. It would need very minimal bodywork if you wanted to do a full resto, or looks fine as is for a daily driver. This wagon has the original V-8 264 Nailhead motor in it. Compression is good. The transmission was rebuilt less than a year ago, still have all receipts. All tires have great tread and have very little mileage on them. All glass is good with the exception of the passenger window, and the passenger side of windshield is cracked. This is a car that I drive regularly and is currently licensed and on the road. I have the clear title for this car in hand. I have driven this wagon to a couple of car shows in Nevada and it handles nicely at highway speeds. Vehicle is located in St. George, Utah (1 1/2 hour drive from Vegas). The only leak is at the torque ball boot which is easily replaced. We have loved this wagon and the kids will miss it, but we have a couple other projects under way. Thanks for looking. Feel free to ask questionsOn Mar-23-14 at 13:42:05 PDT, seller added the following information: If the winning bidder is unable to pick up the vehicle in convenience at end of auction, I am able to keep it garaged for 1-2 months if that helps. ThanksOn Mar-24-14 at 15:47:23 PDT, seller added the following information: New pictures added to show better views of dash and motor. Some of the new parts can be seen such as wires, gaskets, coil pack, voltage regulator, etc. The wiring shown is a great indicator of the wiring condition throughout. ThanksOn Mar-28-14 at 22:56:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to recent inquiries I thought I would add a few things. This wagon has never been wrecked nor has it had any bodywork/bondo done to it, that is one of the best things about it. The brakes work great. I recently rebuilt the master cylinder/wheel cylinders and replaced front shoes. There is a new set of shoes for the rear still in box in the wagon. Front suspension is good with new shocks and swaybar bushing kit. Rear sups. is original and could use some bushings. Radiator was dipped, hoses are new, carb rebuilt. Motor reconditioned, re-reung, but nothing to extensive, it didn't need it. One of the front turn signals is out, but all lights work, horn works beautifully, minimal play in steering. This wagon is a perfect candidate for restoration, but looks cool as is. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding
