Up for auction is a 1973 Jeep J2000 truck. This truck hasn't been driven much in the last 20 yrs. The engine is a AMC 360 that runs strong. Has a holley 600 carburetor, edelbrock intake, headers with dual exhaust. The interior needs work like a new headliner, dash pad, door pads, carpet, and the seat has a tear on the drivers side. It has sit in the sun for a while. The 4 wheel drive works good, has lockout hubs. The body is really straight and wouldnt take much to get it ready to paint. There is no rust rotting away metal anywhere, just some surface rust where the bare metal is showing.The tailgate was purchased at a wrecking yard and is pretty straight as well but will need a handle (jeep half door handles $30 will work for that). The back bumper is home made The wheels are 16" and the tires are 235/85/16. with a little tread left This is a good solid old truck that could use your personal touches. I have been tinkering with it getting it ready to put back on the road again, but just haven't had much time lately. The mileage reads 17,929 but no way to verify actual miles. I took pictures of these areas. They are below the rear marker lights where the bed and rear fenders meet This is a 3/4 ton Townside bed T-18A four speed transmission Dana 20 transfer case Dana 44 front axle and a Dana 60 rear. Powersteering and Power brakes I also have a good spare AMC 360 engine from the same era. It will go with the sale also. Wheelbase 132". It has a GVW of 8,000 lbs. Sorry for the mis-information I'm not to savvy on my Jeep Trucks!! And its a "Thriftside" bed. On Mar-28-14 at 12:04:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I pulled the carpet back and noticed the drivers side floor board has a hole rusted through and the passenger side has rust flaking off. They both will need some attention.
