Being offered is a very very rare motorcycle. I am selling this for a friend of mine. He owned a Kawasaki /Triumph Motorcycle store back in the 1970-1980s and is selling this off. This is a restored 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140VJ 750 CC Twin motorcycle This is also the Silver Jubilee edition. Besides all the cosmetic changes over a normal T140 Bonneville There is a “J” at the end of the VIN . , my research indicates this is verifying this is Silver Jubilee edition. This is noted as 1 of a 1000 made. My understanding is this motorcycle was imported from England back in the 1980s to USA Pennsylvania. It was used and some time in the 1990s was restored to the level you see now. The bike was used mostly for showroom display/shows that is why it is so nice still after all these years The original miles on the bike were 36k and the odometer was reset back to 0 when it was restored. It shows only 255 miles on it now. The bike runs great. It has a 5 speed transmission Only issue is it a little tough to start. It is a kick start only. It does have a choke. Has new battery Once it is running and warm it starts again ok. When warm it runs very strong for a 750 and has a distinctive sound for a big twin Triumph engine I looked around internt for auction results and when these bikes come up for sale they sell from 9 to 12k in this condition.
