Make: BMW Model: 850Ci Year: 1993 Engine: 5.0 Liter V12 Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic Exterior Paint: Schwarz II Interior Color: Black Nappa Leather VIN#: WBAEG2320PCB75058 Mileage: 106,3xx *(mileage will vary slightly as it is being driven short distances locally to show potential customers) This auction is for a beautiful Schwarz II 1993 BMW 850Ci that we are consigning for a local customer who purchased it with the sole intent to restore and hopefully resell to an enthusiast that can appreciate it. (Scroll far down past the description for lots of extra pictures.) The car was purchased from a local seller who purchased it used from Grayson BMW of Knoxville, TN to drive daily 3-4 days a week and garage kept the vehicle. This 850Ci runs and drives great and has a very nice list of tasteful extras. Aside from the integrated Valentine V1 Radar system and Eibach / Bilstein suspension the car is mostly unmolested. It has no engine issues or check engine lights, transmission shifts smooth and also has no check codes. SRS system is intact with no problems as are the ASC traction control and ABS systems. There are no fluid leaks from the engine, transmission or the differential. Both rear axle boots are in good shape with no tears or dry rot. Brake pads have plenty of life and work great as both the braking system and hydraulic booster / power steering system were recently flushed with factory fluids and a new hydraulic brake booster and master cylinder were installed. Cooling system is up to par as the previous owner had replaced the cooling fan clutch, radiator, water pump, and thermostat. The interior is in great overall shape. All the adjustment functions on both power seats work and have no rips, holes, or tears. Memory function on the driver seat works (memory option was not available for passenger seat.) The A/C and heat climate controls work great. The OEM original sound system still has a quality sound and the radio has a good display. All instrument gauge cluster functions work. OBC works and the display has no dead pixels. Glove box is nice but missing a cup holder. The headliner has some very small marks that are hard to capture in pictures and the sunroof liner has a drag mark across it. There is the unfortunate sign that a previous owner in the far past had smoked in the car as the rear driver side lower seat back has a small burn mark on it BUT the car has absolutely no hint of cigarette smoke inside and the ashtray is clean. All the original manuals, radio code card, complete toolkit and complete medical kit are present. The exterior paint is in great condition for its age and cleans up great. There is minor oxidation at the bottom of the A pillars you can see if you look very close and small rock chips pictured on the front nose. The driver side door has a very slight ding, so slight we were unable to capture in photos. The pop up lights work without issue as do all the rear lights and turn signal indicators. All 4 power windows work and seal properly. All sunroof functions work. We are unaware of any accidents and the only body work we are aware of is the trunk lid that the previous owner opted to replace to repair a bad ding and the front bumper was resprayed to repair rocks chips before the previous owner purchased it - both by Grayson BMW of Knoxville. All the routine maintenance and needed repairs were completed in our shop except the alignment and exterior detailing. There is a list of both what repairs / maintenance that has been done and a list of small things that it would need to be perfect listed below. We have records for all the parts / repairs that we have done to the vehicle while in the current owner's possession. We went through great lengths to test and make sure everything electronic (inside and out) on this vehicle works and it does. Best of all its Black on Black. Much like a little black dress it's an ageless combination that will never go out of style and as you look around you will find it's hard to find in this color combo this clean. As a bonus.. women absolutely love this car. No, seriously.. It gets lots looks and random inquiries everywhere it goes... and mostly from females. Rear plastic license plate trim (we attempted to purchase one from BMW but it is currently NLA) Front plastic license plate trim piece (owner has opted to not replace due to aesthetic appearance preference) Small rock chips and scratch on front nose (picture below) Common chipping on edge of the hood where the driver side wiper arm rests. Small cigarette burn in the driver side rear seat (picture below) Stain or drag mark across the sunroof liner. Shifter boot and trim are loose due to brittle clips. (Looks fine and doesn't move in general use but if you push around on it you can tell its a little loose.) Driver side door is missing its coin tray. Glove box is missing one cup holder. (but honestly.. who uses those?) Steering wheel has some small finger nail / key scuffs (also pictured below) E brake console ashtray lid works but is missing a spring on one side so it opens without dampening and slightly biased toward the front spring. (can you tell we're picky yet?) 2 of the small plastic retaining pins that hold the plastic shroud between the bumper and the radiator core. (visible in pictures below) Wheels are straight but could use a good refinish as they show small spots of curb rash. A better set of tires - It has a set of Primewell sport tires that are less than stellar for road noise and performance. They are fine to drive on but this car honestly deserves some quality Michelin or Goodyear tires. (60% tread front / 20% tread rear) Rear driver side M System Throwing Star cover is in the wrong directional pattern. Though it is not noticeable to 99.36% of the population, an OCD enthusiast would want to purchase another driver side TS cover for the driver side back wheel. Previous owner removed the original bag phone and installed an iPhone holster.
