You are bidding on a privately owned 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. This car is in excellent mechanical shape with headlights, tail lights, and convertible top working perfectly. Recent work done includes: new brakes, booster and brake cylindernew power steering linesnew custom dual exhaust Engine tuned uprebuilt carbinstalled electronic MSD ignitioninstalled new convertible top head linernon-structual rust repair hand wheel alignment All work has been done professionally & locally. Prior owner had car painted the original color in 1992 but needs new paint to make cherry. Also needs new carpet, windshield is scratched, minor interior leather repairs. This car loves to run and has been driven locally as well as west coast trips. Prior owner had changed odometer so mileage is not accurate. Original steering wheel is functional but needs to be redone. Body appears straight with no prior accident apparent. Chrome is excellent on bumpers. Car comes with the original air cleaner and distributor. A little TLC and someone has one very nice original Cougar XR7. The car is being sold to purchase a car for my teenage daughter.
