Vehicle Detail

1955 AUSTIN HEALEY 100-4 BN-1 KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS offers for sale , here on Ebay, a very decent Austin Healey 100-4 BN-1 Sports Roadster. This vehicle was purchased from it's longtime owner of over 30 years, who was in the process of completing it's restoration. Because of his health issues, the car was never finished, but every single item is here, making it a 100% complete car. The car has been stored indoors for a very long time. The original color scheme appears to be red with black trim and a black top. The car is titled by it's engine number, which is still the original unit fitted to the car. This restoration was started by a complete disassembly of the vehicle to it's bare chassis, which appears to be very straight and solid. The chassis was then stripped, cleaned, repaired, primed, and repainted in a very attractive silver hue thats suits the car very well. The suspension, front and back, was also restored and painted, and refitted to the car. The owner stated that at that time, the engine and original 3-speed overdrive gearbox were also completely rebuilt, and were re-fitted to the car. These units appear very clean and detailed. The engine turns over nicely by hand with good compression. The restored gas tank was re-installed, the radiator was recored. The body panels were re-fitted to the chassis and the owner completed full bodywork and paint. Over the years, the car acquired a few scratches, so a simple block and repaint would be a recommended option. The car's underside and chassis is very nice and clean, as seen by the photos. This car has had a very good start, with much time, effort, and money spent. Completing it's restoration should be a very straightforward undertaking. It is totally complete with it's original gauges, seats, top frame, original sidescreen set, windshield assembly (glass is broken), bumpers, correct 48-spoke wire wheels, correct and complete matching numbers drivetrain, heater, air cleaners, etc. The old interior was also saved. Some original red paint can be seen on the windshield posts. Overall, this car represents good investment potential, and a great opportunity to acquire a partially restored, early 4-cylinder Big Healey that is on it's way to a ground-up restoration. This car can is located in Southern California and can be viewed by appointment. It is sold with a clear Florida title. $29,750. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS. 909-920-9221, shop. 909-241-1051, cell.
