Vehicle Detail
1974 Porsche 911 Targa Vin 9114112262 72,843 Original Miles This is an exceptional, original, daily driver 1974 911 Targa in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition with extensive service history, many new parts, and new paint. Never driven in the snow, this 911 has very minimal corrosion as detailed below, and in the provided images. Chrome, rubber, and glass are in exceptional - almost unbelievable - condition throughout. Please see over 150 photos here: Click here to view photobucket album of 1974 Porsche 911 Targa. I am the third owner and I have driven the car 12K miles since May of 2012. I absolutely love this car – it is a joy to drive and gets lots of compliments from young and old alike. I am selling because I need a more practical, all-season, daily driver. Here is an itemization of some of the details on the car: • Complete engine rebuild @ 58K miles May 2010 by Paxtonia Motors, PA • Major service including brakes and suspension completed @ 59K miles 2011-12 by Autohaus Lancaster, PA • Complete transmission rebuild @ 69K miles July 2013 by Roger Bratter / Auto-Therapy, MD • Recent re-spray of original color in 2010 • New euro headlights installed – original US headlights included • Staggered Fuchs powder coated in August 2013 and Toyo Proxes RA-1s 205550R15 / 22550R15 mounted - original rear Fuchs and 4 Porsche crest center caps included • Major service @ 69K miles July 2013 by Roger Bratter / Auto-Therapy, MD• New OEM vent window seals and front roof seal included – uninstalled • Adhesive black vinyl racing stripes - removable There are a few small rust bubbles isolated at the lower and back edge of the driver’s door, one small rust bubble at the lower front edge of the passenger’s door, and two small bubbles below the driver’s side headlight – all are shown clearly in the photobucket album photos (see link above). The car otherwise appears to be generally rust-free. Here is an itemization of the additional known flaws with the car: • Minor oil leak • Dash crack between the speaker grill and defrost vent • Driver’s seat vinyl cracked / torn, left side bolster cracked • Stitching has come undone on leather steering wheel cover • There is a small paint chip in the front of the driver’s door• Top soundproofing is slowly disintegrating • Front speaker is not OEM, rear speaker is blown • Leather rear seat strap broken • Driver’s seat belt does not retract rapidly • Damaged heater hose - to be replaced prior to delivery Original window sticker, extensive service records, owner’s manual, original floor mats, newer “Targa” logo replacement floor mats, and original protective bra, are also included with the car. This car is being sold “As-Is” by a private party with no warranty expressed or implied. If you have additional questions about the car, please ask before bidding – my 100% seller feedback rating is more important to me than any one auction item. Bids from low / no feedback buyers may be cancelled. $500 non-refundable deposit due via Paypal within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment via cleared certified funds must be received within 7 days of auction close. Seller reserves the right to end auction early. Buyer to arrange shipping and insurance – seller will assist where possible. Thank you and good luck!
