Up for auction is my 2000 Volvo V70 XC SE station wagon with just 61k miles. I’ve had this car for a little over 2 years and has been my main vehicle. I purchased it from a dealer in Northern California with around 40k miles on it. At the time it had a clean carfax – and I haven’t had any accidents with it so I imagine it’s still a clean carfax. Clean title, not salvaged, and currently registered in CA until 12/2014. It runs very well, it’s been well maintained, and is all around a really nice car to drive. The engine and transmission are strong – no issues, no check engine lights, no leaks. Tires should be replaced in the next 10,000 miles or so. There’s a slight clicking noise coming from the front right wheel – the CV joint. My brother-in-law mechanic says it’s not time to replace the CV joint yet. Nevertheless I have the CV joint replacement part and it’s included in the auction. Exterior – it’s got a few little dings you can see if you’re looking for them. No dents. Overall the exterior is in really nice shape. There is a place on the rear passenger-side door by the window, approx. ½” x 1” where I can see rust beginning to bubble up beneath the paint. You can’t see the rust – it’s still beneath the paint. I bought the car that way and it hasn’t gotten any worse in the past 2 years. I think the drier climate has held it at bay. Everything else on the exterior can be seen in the pictures. Interior – with only 61k miles, the interior is very clean as you’d expect. No rips in the leather. The driver’s seat naturally is a little more worn than the other seats. I would consider this interior better than average with these miles. This car has the rare 3rd row seat and sunroof. All the knobs, buttons, and switches work and do whatever it is they’re supposed to do. The radio/cassette/CD player work fine, but oddly enough the right half of the radio console does not light up when the headlights are on. Hardly worth fixing, but worth mentioning.
