Vehicle Detail

Hello everyone, Here I have a almost rare 1989 Toyota Van 4x4 for sale that was running. Story: I am a Toyota enthusiast particularly of older models from the 1960s to the latest of 1990s, I have worked on, repaired and owned several classic Toyotas as a hobby. Unfortunately that hobby had to stop because I started going to my university in 2011 to get my bachelor’s degree in automotive industry. So money was a little short. Since I’ve been going to school, I haven’t been able to own another classic Toyota since then and the urges were starting to get to me. So I decided to look around for something to cruise in, useful and reliable while in school. Then I came across this van in Colorado Springs. Phone calls were made and a meet up was set. I went to test drive the van and it drove flawlessly through the snow and up hills even the 4 wheel drive worked great. I was sold. I bought it and driven it 45 miles back to Pueblo to my university to use as a daily. It drove straight and solid besides the mis-aligned aftermarket steering wheel it drove pretty well, and I even used the cruise control majority of the time. Heater was really helpful in the 10 degree temperature. Then the unfortunate happened. A few days later I went to go start to the van and the battery from 2007 died before the engine could crank long enough to start. It was -1 degrees outside so it made sense that a 7 year battery would fail. I went to go to buy a brand new battery the next day. Now it cranks but the van wouldn’t start. The BAD: I come to find out that the engine had blown the head gasket and I’m not sure how. I’ve checked coolant levels (low) and compression tested the engine and the results were no good. The engine never over heated in my possession during the drive as I always keep an eye on the temperature gauge. I’ve checked the oil content, the coolant did not make its way to the oil pan or bearings of the engine, Another reason why I know, is when I was cranking the engine air and coolant was being forced out of the overflow tank from the overhang hose. I didn’t attempt to start it after I did my diagnostics. The engine needs a head gasket and few other things such an oil cap and oil change. I honestly would’ve done this job myself but I don’t have the money to fix it as I spend it buying the van in the first place, and I live in the dorms so I have no room to do the work as well. A head gasket would cost anywhere between $300 to $700 for a professional shop to do the job. I was really hoping to keep this van as a hip daily driver, but things just aren’t shining for me. Can’t have an inoperable vehicle on campus parking so I decided to let it go Other BAD: Rust on the sides only Fuel gauge does not work Back door panel is missing The GOOD: 4x4 works great Clean interior Original Stereo system works Brand new tires Receipts of all work done to the van in the past Clear Colorado title Brand new battery Third seat All electronics work. My lost your gain. If you have any questions please contact me through ebay. Thanks for looking On Feb-08-14 at 08:28:08 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that this van has a rebuilt engine with less than 5000 miles on it. I do have the receipts of the purchased and installed of the engine. You can kind of see the receipts of all the work done to the van in the last picture. On Feb-08-14 at 15:55:52 PST, seller added the following information: This van was owned by an older gentleman in his 70s to 80s before me for over 13 years. And was used to drive to the post office and back only. READ above this sentence! On Feb-13-14 at 18:52:35 PST, seller added the following information: Any bidders with no feedback score will have their bids cancelled. Only bidders with feedback can bid on this cool van
