I built this car to pull a 1953 Boles Areo trailer so we could recreate our honeymoon trip of almost 50 years ago but we are not able to do that now so the car and trailer were both for sale. The trailer was sold and went to France as part of an Americana exhibit but I still have the car. The car is a 1955 Buick Special that looks stock but was updated to tow the trailer on that trip with a .040 over rebuilt 401 Nailhead engine, turbo 400 transmission, 1962 Buick Electra rear end located by Art Morrisson triangulated 4 link system, 605 power steering box, one wire heavy duty alternator, max cool radiator, air conditioning, power disc brakes with dual master cylinder, tilt wheel, new wide whitewall radial tires, electric wipers with delay function, and 8 way power seats with built in shoulder belts. The trailer hitch was removed after the trailer was sold but is made to bolt onto the frame so I will place it in the trunk along with the brake controller and the period towing mirrors. This car looks like 1955 but drives like a new car for the best of both worlds. If someone just bought the parts it would cost way more than I am asking for this car. I have over $35,000.00 in reciepts just for parts and you would still need someone to do the work or like me spend countless hours doing it yourself. The mechanical part of this car is what is almost impossible to do properly and the small defects that remain are things anyone can correct (like the headliner etc) you could enjoy this car as-is and get lots of thumbs up and do like I have been doing just redo what bothers you. The paint appears like it was a well kept original but it was repainted sometime in the late 80's then it sat unassembled until I bought it in 2006.
