Vehicle Detail

Moving; must sell. Everything is there, the process of taking it out of storage just needs to be completed. Car was a Sunday-only cruiser owned by an obsessive fanatic friend of mine who kept it absolutely perfect; then it was broken into. The intruders popped the passenger side door lock and popped the ignition, but it would not start because the owner disconnected the battery when he parked it during the week. They stole the aftermarket burglar alarm. Then it was in an indoor storage locker for 13 years. Now it's a project with very good potential, needing mostly labor, not parts. I bought it from the owner, put on new tires, and towed it to my home in California. Keys were missing, so driver door was re-keyed and steering column was replaced and rear hatch was re-keyed. Passenger door lock has been removed, (included) needs to be re-keyed and re-installed. Window lower rubber seals were cracked, so I bought new ones, driver side is installed, passenger side is not installed. The door interior plastic window sills were each cracked, so I have new aftermarket ones (not installed). Driver-door pocket fabric has one edge dried out a bit. I removed the wiring for the missing aftermarket burglar alarm, and returned car to all-stock wiring. I removed all the injectors, and had them cleaned, interior filters replaced, and tested for flow and pattern by RC engineering; individual data is included. Originally 4 (one bank) were gummed from old gas in storage, 4 were OK. I had fuel tank dropped, cleaned, and new fuel pump (and filter??) installed as long as it was out, and had the tank reinstalled. Since it was apart to get the injectors out, I polished the upper TPI ram plenum. It looked so nice I purchased an ACCEL intake manifold and polished it, and got aftermarket intake runners and had them polished. Original intake manifold and runners are also included. Oil has been changed, brakes have been bled a little, but that was without the power brakes running. Antifreeze has been drained and replaced, but is low because intake manifold is out. Seat and steering wheel are not installed. Extra steering wheel included (one is perfect, other is very good). New dash trim around center air conditioning vent is included (where aftermarket burglar alarm was removed). Heavy rear hatch rubber spoiler is in good shape for this model, because interior steel tubing is in good condition, but exterior paint it crazed. New lightweight aftermarket fiberglass rear hatch spoiler is included (unpainted). Wheels are in very good condition, tires are new; when I took it out of storage, it still had the original tires on it. Both electric lights motor drives were rebuilt, as the drive cushions had deteriorated (very common, and the common aftermarket kit was installed so problem does not re-occur. New Optima battery. Original and decorative water hose connectors for intake manifold are included. New spark plugs are installed, and distributor has new ignition wires. Aging window tint has been carefully removed. All glass is good. New electric antenna installed. All body panels are perfect. All seats and carpets are perfect, good matching factory floor mats incldued. All seats were always covered. Dash top has no cracks. GTA dash pocket is perfect. Digital dash is perfect. Wheel center covers with GTA emblems are good but not installed; may need some work on the snap-on clips. Locking wheel lug nuts were removed (did not have key) and new lug nuts are included, as well as all the original decorative lug nut covers. To run and drive, it needs: the steering wheel, horn button, and driver seat mounted (plug in electric seat wires, any driver detector bodyweight switch, hose for fancy lumbar air bladder), driver-side door threshold cover over driver-side rocker panel installed, and one relay under the dash mounted (one screw). Engine needs intake manifold w/sensors installed, injectors and fuel rails installed, runners installed, distributor installed, and TPI top plenum & throttle body installed. Body needs passenger lock re-keyed and re-installed, driver door panel and window sill installed, passenger rubber window seal and window sill installed. There is a chip in the enamelled GTA hood emblem, and a new one is included. Basically I think everything needed to make this a low-miles matching-numbers great car is there, it just needs the labor to finish getting it on the road. Even parted out, the tires and wheels are worth nearly two grand, and all the body & interior are in good shape. The air intake on the hood shows some gold base coat. Original exhaust is complete and intact, I don't know condition of the inside of the mufflers after all this time. I am moving. I have about $4600 invested, my reserve is only $1900. It's worth way more than that just in parts, but it would be a shame not to put it back on the road. Car is in Long Beach, CA 90815. Clean Florida title. Can talk to previous owner too, who originally put it in storage.
