Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1966 Porsche 912, vin 451344, according to the COA the Production Completion Date was 07/30/1965 and is titled as a 1966. Stunning COA matching Ruby Red paint, glass and chrome were removed prior to painting, recent excellent quality paint work on the car, new tires and new rubber molding for the car was installed after paint work was completed. Dash was painted to match the body color. Non matching numbers engine and transmission, current engine number keeps with 912. Presently installed is engine number 746086 which runs very strong and "takes the gas". Transmission and clutch are excellent and all gear shifts are smooth with no transmission or engine issues. Reverse is fine as well. This is a great driving car, one that handles well and is not all over the road at highway speeds. Front end is tight and does not wander as you go down the road, brakes are perfect and stop the car evenly and straightly on a dime! . Lights and windshield wipers work, windows go up and down nicely, doors and hood and engine lid close nicely. The chrome on the window frames is just stunning. Both engine lid pull and hood pull and gas lid pull work well. The oil pressure light works as does the light indicating that the charging system is working is functional as well. The car starts after almost immediately and the engine roars to life after turning the key in the ignition switch. After a short warm up the car is ready to be driven. The car came from California and is a very solid car. The pans look good and are solid as are the other areas under the car such as the area in front of the spare tire and the battery box area. The car could use some minor sorting as the gas gauge does not register, the correct radio is installed but not hooked up, and the speedometer is intermittent-sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and the heater system is not hooked up underneath. We have taken over 150 photos of the car: https://plus.google.com/photos/102989007469098779939/albums/5968862366226702833?authkey=CKOn9I3OxPTO4AE Here are some short videos of the engine being revved: http://youtu.be/wtF1cf1CRTs and a short video of the car being driven: http://youtu.be/ZEM1TkqGauU We believe we have priced this car fairly seeing other similar examples selling in the high $20k to low $30K range.
