Vehicle Detail
Offering a nicely preserved 52 Year Old Honda Dream 250 that has been in a Michigan Honda dealers possession on display since 1990! This is the early style Dream 250, with the smaller tank. Bike was ridden in to Honda Dealer in 1990 with California Pink slip ownership certificate which is same as title. Bike was registered in California to the previous owner in 1984. Bike is NOT running and is being offered just the way you see it. Bike was prepped for storage and inside of tank is totally raw grey metal and NOT rusty. Chrome rims are in very nice shape, with shiny chrome. The dry storage for almost half the life of this bike did this bike good. The paint all is shiny and looks original with the exception of part or all of the front fender as there are signs of body work to fix an area damaged. I certainly wouldn't repaint this bike. This is one of the nicest, left alone, old Hondas I have seen and would like nice as is on display in any collection or Man Cave. Las year I sold an old Honda out of state that buyer was going to use just for display in his office. If this was to be made road worthy, I am sure tires should be replaced, carb clean, oil changed, new drive chain, tune up, battery and it will need a clutch cable as it is broken which happen in years past while on display and being pulled in to move bike around. Trans shifts fine now without clutch if put into first gear and back to neutral. Bike kicks with good compression. At some point the glass over speedo was cracked allowing moisture into speedo so it is hard to read the miles, but it does look like 4000 miles. Speedo easily removed to be sent out for rebuild if desired. I have stated what I can about this DREAM and can't answer much else. It shows very nice, better than most 50 year old unrestored bikes. In the event it doesn't sell, I may just leave as is and keep on display for years to come in my collection, like money in the bank. Shipping is easily done via Federal Allied 1800-747-4100, Keyboard Motorcycle shippers or try uship.com or any of the many other Motorcycle shippers out there. I ask that bike be paid for within 3 days of YOU clicking the BUY IT NOW. Please be prepared to send a $500 paypal deposit and balance to be wired or you can send cashiers cheek and when funds clear, I will express the "CALIFORNIA PINK SLIP" to you.
