Vehicle Detail
Up for sale we have a gorgeous 1993 Suzuki GSX-R 750 Motorcycle with just under 23K miles on it. I bought this bike early in 2013 from a bike collector who was thinning his herd. It seemed to run OK when I bought it sight unseen but obviously needed some work and I overpaid for it needless to say. It was fast then but you would not believe it now. I left it with Motorcycle Riders Company in Gambrills, MD where "Diesel Dave" spent nearly 3 months tearing it down and basically re-building it. I have spent roughly $2500 restoring the bike to what can be considered near perfect mechanical condition. I have spent well over $4000 including the purchase price. Included in some of the work done was: Brand New Pilot front tire ($200 Parts and labor) Front Calipers repaired and heli-loc'd ($188 parts and labor) Brand new top of the line O-Ring Chain ($212 parts and labor) Rear Brake Calipers repaired and adjusted to factory specs (Included in chain replacement) Electrical re-wired or replaced (At least $300 parts and labor) Brand new battery ($90) Brand new Air box assembly ($200) All 4 carbs completely rebuilt including new caps and synchs, synchronized to factory specs. Runs like a raped ape! ($450 in parts and $400 in labor) Tank flushed, cleaned, and brand new petcock assembly installed. ($200 petcock, $240 in labor) Mostly new cables (roughly $100 in parts) Oil, filter and all other vital fluids changed. ($200 in parts and labor) All new Turn signals ($100 parts and labor) And much more I am sure I forgot about. Bike really ran like a raped ape when I brought it home in December 2013 and is not for the faint of heart. This bike was scary fast and the Yoshimura exhaust is loud. Even Diesel Dave said it ran like an 1100 and he wouldn't have known the difference if he hadn't worked on it himself. It is too fast for me and I lost interest after buying a few more bikes so I am selling it hoping to recuperate some of my ridiculous investment. I would consider the bike a blank canvas as the decals can be easily removed so a custom paint job would be easy. The polished chrome frame and rims really make the bike stand out amongst others. Please don't hesitate to send me offers or be surprised if yours is accepted so please don't make an offer unless you really want the bike. The bike is as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied and is 20 years old but Diesel stands behind his work so if you have an issue, I am sure he will work with you on it. The bike needs a rider. They don't like to sit for long periods of time and I have not run it much at all since putting it away for the winter. Consider that in bidding as it might require some tweaking after purchase being such a high performance machine. I have worked with multiple transport companies and can help get you a quote to ship the bike but all shipping is at your expense. If you are local, I may consider delivering the bike if previously negotiated. $100 non-refundable deposit via PayPal with Buy it Now or Best offer acceptance. Absolutely no refunds or exchanges. Title is clear and signed by previous owner with no date of sale or buyer name however the purchase price of $2100 is on the title so whatever State you are in is going to make you pay sales tax on $2100. Please contact me at 301-633-8116 for questions or to schedule a test ride with cash in hand. You break it, drop it, damage it, or anything, you bought it. Thanks and good luck!
