Vehicle Detail
I will be completely honest about this truck to the best of my ability. I bought this truck in July of this year mostly because I needed a tow vehicle to tow a 34 foot tow hauler to Sturgis SD for Bike week. I drove to Sturgis and back pulling a 34 foot enclosed trailer and averaged 18 mpg!!! Right after I bought it I replaced the following: front rotors and pads, front wheel bearings, axle u-joints, Southbend clutch kit, rebuilt transfer case, rear rotors and pads, emergency brake shoes, axle seals, k&n air filter, fuel filter, extension housing and yolk for transfer case, exhaust (no muffler 4 inch pipe), grid heater relay and much more. I do have all of the receipts.SEE PICTURE OF RECEIPTS I JUST ADDED. IF SOME OF YOU ARE THINKING YOU ARE GOING TO BUY A TRUCK CHEAPER THAN MINE AND REPLACE PARTS YOURSELF...CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING. Front bearing hub assembly $ 225 (if you replace the ball joints you should count on having to replace these as well)Moog upper and lower ball joints $ 339New Exact fit wipers $ 37Fuel filter $ 27Spicer U-joints $1104 Wheel/transfer case extension housing $149Ceramic brake pads front $87Front brake rotors $ 150Rebuild and install transfer case with 1 year warranty $1000Interior detail $120Labor to install clutch kit $550Emergency brake shoes, axle seals and pin boot kit $ 185Brake pads and rotors rear $ 209Eliminating muffler with 4" pipe $ 203South bend clutch kit $1525Alignment $89 Parts for these trucks are not cheap. The prices of the parts listed above are right off the receipts that I am including with this truck. Everything I replaced is the BEST quality money could buy. I replaced more than I have listed but I wanted to give you an idea of what it cost. A lot of times they are neglected and as you now know they are not cheap. The labor for a dealer to replace ball joints, u-joints and bearings is over 1000 This truck is ready to go! I just replaced one of the tires and the other 3 are decent. I recently had the interior completely detailed from the headliner to the carpet. The drivers seat has a little wear but otherwise good condition. The heated seats do work. I just bought weather tech floor mats for the front. The inner plastic fenders are missing in the front and the front outer fenders do have rust. The rest of the truck is solid. Don't ASK me why someone removed the front inner fenders! I had to replace a couple of the harnesses that plug into the tipm. The prong for the low windshield wiper solvent on the tipm broke off so the light stays on. If you want this light off you will need to buy a new tipm 600-800 and have it flashed! Everything else electronically works. The check engine light is on but is because the prong is broke off for the windshield wiper solvent. It does have a receiver hitch on the back and a goose-neck in the bed. The bed has plastic liner and I just noticed at one time it might of had a stack because there is a 6" hole in the bed behind the back window. UNDER the bed liner. Stupid if you ask me but, to each is own! You will be able to drive this truck ANYWHERE! I drive this truck every and tow a car about every other month if that. I do owe money on it but it is with a local credit union so it will NOT be a problem going in there with cash and picking up the title. I am sure there is things I am forgetting but I will keep posting information as it comes to me. Feel free to contact me with any questions 630-640-1609.
