This is a custom build Toyota Landcruiser. Titled as a 1988 FJ62, this custom Cruiser is unique, I am unaware of another like it. I did not do the initial build. For information on the build up go to the ih8mud website and search "Project Uranus." The build thread will provide a level of detail far greater than I can as a subsequent owner of the truck.-The frame and suspension are from an FJ80-The front end is from a FJ60-The firewall back is an FJ62.What this means:-Smoother ride of an FJ80-Classic Landcruiser look of the round headlights-Power features of the FJ62Low pressure on 2 and 4 so I had the engine rebuilt 854 miles ago (Feb 2013). The exhaust system was completely redone with a custom exhaust. The transmission was upgraded to a new OEM 5-speed purchased from Cool Cruisers (Summer 2011). Comfortably runs 80 mph @3000rpm. AC blows cold. Titled in California and just renewed smog certification In August 2013. I am not a shade tree mechanic, all mechanical work was done professionally. Contact information is below. I purchased the truck as a Landcruiser fan and had upgrade work done by professionals. FAQ's:-The truck is a second vehicle. I drive it regularly but it is not my daily driver. Hence the very low mileage since the rebuild.-4WD does work, I do not however take it off road.-I have not calculated the mpg.-I would have no concerns driving it from California to the East Coast.-The truck was purchased desmogged. I live in California so everything was put back on hence the brand new exhaust... even down to the double catalytic converters.
