Vehicle Detail

1996 GMC Sierra C/K 1500 Reg. Cab 8-ft. Bed 2WD245,050 MilesNO RESERVE AUCTION This truck will sell to the highest bidder. This GMC has served me well over the years. I bought the truck at 92,010 miles in 2002 and have driven it to 245,050 miles. I mostly use it for commuting to work on the highway. I use the bed for home projects and going to auctions etc. I tow my small sail boat a few times each summer. This truck is open to be seen anytime, it is in Bensalem, PA which is a few miles north east of Philadelphia. I am two miles from I95. Feel free to come by or give me a call, I can also Skype or Facetime on the iPhone if you want to see it "live". If you want more pictures or any more info message me and I will get it. The emissions and inspection stickers are good in Pennsylvania until March, 2014. If you live in PA you only need to register it. Work Truck: hand crank windows, keyed locks, a trailer hitch with two balls, AC was bypassed but you can reinstall a new unit, full size spare, tire tools, tool box, am/fm clock radio. The hitch mount has severe rust and tows my 500lb boat fine, you may want to replace to tow heavy items. Recent work with paperwork: New belts and pulleys when AC was bypassed Oct 2011, Spider Fuel Injector Jan 2010, Starter June 2012, Radiator and Water Pump Mar 2011, Muffler and Pipe from converter back Mar 2012. Last emissions and inspection March 2013. The fuel pump is a few years old but I don't have paperwork. Body: Solid truck, minor rust starting, CARFAX is clean NO ACCIDENTS. Minor dents and abrasions, damage near drivers mirror but door works fine. Minor Issues: 1/4" chip in front windshield glass (upper passenger side), radio speakers going bad, drivers side door bent where mirror attaches (replaced mirror), rip in seat drivers side, worm spot in floor mat in front of gas pedal, some plastic parts broken but everything works fine (E brake lever you must pull with fingers, tail gate handle, lug caps etc) Any plastic parts are in the tool box. There is light rust here and there, all issues typical with age and miles of this vehicle. Tires: One rear tire is brand new, the other rear is good. The front two show wear on the outside, this means an alignment or some work is in order. The truck tracks straight on the highway. Fluids: Oil - changed regularly and is fresh, Antifreeze - had a minor leak for the past year or so and needs a full flush and change, Brakes - minor fluid leak I put in a pint a month for the last two months, before that the system was tight. My mechanic advised to change the rear differential fluid. Transmission - very minor leak, put some fluid in about two months ago. Major Issues: Check engine light is on. The mechanic said an O2 sensor is bad but rusted in, to replace it would risk breaking it and having to replace the piece of pipe it goes in to. The brake light and ABS lights are on. I was advised the front calipers are stuck and will need to be replaced. I did have the brake pads replaced March 2013, this issued developed since then. There is a minor brake fluid leak, so plan on going all the way around the brakes on this truck. The brakes do currently work, I just want to let you know what the future holds. Engine: On 12/4/13 the truck had steam coming from the hood in front of the house. The temperature gauge did not go up. The antifreeze is dirty, maybe from rust and stop leak that was put in last winter. The antifreeze seems oily, but I don't exactly know the source. I changed the oil last month with no problem and the oil is still clean. This could possibly be a bad head gasket, I just don't know enough to diagnose or fix this issue. We can start the truck but I don't want to cause further harm by driving it around. You should plan on towing it but you are free to risk driving it home once the truck is yours. Title: I have the title in hand. I will sign over the title upon full payment. I will also have a bill of sale that will read "as is condition". If you are coming from PA I think we have to go to a title office to make the exchange, there is one two miles from my house. I only have two parking spots at my house and I'm buying a new truck, this one has to go! I think this would make a great parts truck or project from someone out there. I honesty hope that the head gasket isn't bad and someone can get this going for a few hundred in parts. Message me if you want my phone number, I don't want to put it on this ad. If you send me your number I'll give you call. A $100 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction closing, if you pay cash and pick up the truck within 48 hours you don't need a deposit. The deposit is only to cover my eBay costs should the winner not show up and I have to resell the truck, sadly we all know this happens on eBay. Please pay in full and take delivery within 7 days of winning. I am not a mechanic but I am a straight shooter, I have great feedback and want to keep it that way. All questions answered as promptly as possible. If you win the truck and need some time to come get it that is fine, just make a full payment in 7 days from winning and let me know when you are coming. Here is a quick video, I can text more video or pictures if you have a smart phone: On Dec-10-13 at 18:12:21 PST, seller added the following information: From my description: "Engine: On 12/4/13 the truck had steam coming from the hood in front of the house. The temperature gauge did not go up. The antifreeze is dirty, maybe from rust and stop leak that was put in last winter. The antifreeze seems oily, but I don't exactly know the source. We can start the truck but I don't want to cause further harm by driving it around. You should plan on towing it but you are free to risk driving it home once the truck is yours." Someone asked me if they could drive this truck home to Kentucky as is. In my ad I stated steam was cooing from under the hood. This means the engine was starting to over heat. I did add about two quarts of 50/50 antifreeze/water mix to the radiator to top it off the next day. I state that you should plan on towing it home but you are free to drive it. My hope is that someone that knows engines will be able to diagnose the problem and fix it well enough to drive away. If you don't know how to fix this truck I think you are looking for trouble driving it home, but once you buy it you can do what ever you want with it. Let me state clearly what I stated in my ad: This truck will start and drive, but if you try to drive without fixing it first it will over heat. You can not work on the truck in front of my house, but there is a gravel parking lot about 300 feet away that would be perfect for working on the truck. It is the lot in a few of the pictures. On Dec-12-13 at 10:26:53 PST, seller added the following information: A recent question asked when I am available to meet after the sale: Currently I am available to meet almost anytime in the next two weeks, just let me know a time and day and I'll be there. Although I do only have two parking spots, I can give you a few weeks to pick up the GMC if you need it. I know it's the holidays, so just let me know when your schedule permits. If you are from Pennsylvania the tag place down the street is open M-F 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. I've been told that in state sales have to be completed in front of the notary person there.
